Congresswoman Valerie Foushee and I are leading 116 House Democrats calling for the restoration of this independent, lifesaving research office.
Saddened by the attack on Reserve Officers’ Training Corps students at Old Dominion University.
Terrorism can never win in America. We must stand together against violence and hate.
Let’s keep the victims, their families, and the entire community in our thoughts.
My thoughts are with the congregants of Temple Israel in Michigan.
Thank you to law enforcement for the swift response. I’m grateful no victims died.
I’m fighting for more Nonprofit Security Grant Program funding so houses of worship can be safe. No faith community should live in fear of violence.
A game-winning playoff goal that meant so much more.
Proud of the players on the ice last night and in awe of the strength & resilience of a young man who has experienced so much tragedy.
Let’s go, Blackstone Valley Knights!
Met with RI leaders in nephrology, obstetrics, and gynecology.
They made it clear: protecting funding for research, reproductive care, and health care is essential.
Patients and providers are counting on us to defend the science and care that keep communities healthy.
Those closest to our communities know best what our neighbors need. That's the power of community project funding.
I’m proud to have secured $311,000 in federal funds for the Nonviolence Institute to assist and advocate for victims of violent crime and make Rhode Island safer.
Now 10s of thousands of RI’ers will go without health care as all of us pay the cost of Trump’s war.
Trump & Congressional Republicans made a clear choice: helping Americans afford health coverage is not their priority.
Yet Trump made a choice to start a war with Iran that’s costing over $1 billion a day.
Each year, I’m proud to nominate outstanding #RI01 students to our U.S. service academies.
Great meeting James, a Barrington high school senior headed to the U.S. Air Force Academy, to congratulate him on his hard work and commitment to service.
Rhode Island is dancing.
Congrats to the Rams on winning the A-10 and punching their ticket to March Madness. Let’s take it all the way! 🐏🏀

Their courage on Bloody Sunday helped deliver the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
Their legacy demands we stand up to ongoing efforts to undermine this sacred right.
Instead of lowering costs, Trump chose war with Iran.
There was:
❌No imminent threat.
❌No congressional authorization.
❌No clear justification.
❌No plan for what comes next.
❌No strategy.
Just more recklessness.
We must end this madness & stop this war.
Dr. Bernard LaFayette, Jr. was a Freedom Rider, voting rights organizer, and lifelong teacher of nonviolence.
From Selma to founding the URI Center for Nonviolence & Peace Studies, his courage helped move our nation closer to justice.
May he rest in peace & power.
Instead of focusing on the needs of the American people, Trump started a war of choice with Iran.
I voted YES on the War Powers Resolution to prevent more casualties, stop Trump from further destabilizing the Middle East, and stop this madness.
House Republicans just greenlit Trump’s reckless march toward another forever war that is wasting billions of your taxpayer dollars and priceless American lives with no clear objective.
The DHS funding bill fails to address the reckless actions we’ve seen from ICE and DHS agents.
Replacing Kristi Noem is not enough.
I put forward an amendment to melt ICE’s slush fund & instead invest that money into Americans’ health care. Republicans rejected it.
I voted no.
Grateful to speak with Bishop Bruce Lewandowski about how we can work together to support our immigrant communities, stop the cruelty of ICE, and keep Rhode Islanders safe.
Grateful to meet with Rhode Island’s VFW leaders.
Veterans answered the call to serve our country and deserve our unwavering support. I’ll keep fighting to protect critical VA funding and ensure every Veteran gets the resources and care they’ve earned.
Secretary Noem abused her power and terrorized our communities. I supported her impeachment and am glad to see her go.
However, make no mistake: the work to rein in ICE continues.
