On National Intern Day, I want to thank our summer interns for their hard work serving the people of South Jersey. Your dedication, curiosity, and commitment to public service inspires us all. Thank you for being part of our team.

The Camden County Police Department is showing what community policing should look like. Social workers are now riding alongside officers to address mental health crises, homelessness, and emergencies related to substance use disorder. And it's working. Crisis calls are down 40% since last year.
On this day in 1958, NASA was founded, launching a new era of American innovation, exploration, and scientific achievement.
Now more than ever, we must invest in space research and innovation. Cutting NASA’s funding risks ceding our global leadership in scientific discovery.
5 years ago, the Never Forget the Heroes Act was signed into law, securing permanent funding for 9/11 first responders and survivors. We honor their courage and sacrifice by continuing to fight for the care and support they deserve.
The Trump administration has shown time and time again that it will ignore due process. We want answers from the Trump administration and to ensure our military facilities are used properly.
On Friday, I joined Congressman Conaway for a meeting at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst to perform our congressional duty of oversight after Defense Secretary Hegseth informed us that the base will be used as a detention site for undocumented immigrants.
New Jersey public schools are some of the best in the nation. It was great to chat with NJEA about how Congress is fighting back against the Trump administration's unprecedented attacks on education. Our teachers and education staff keep our country running by training the next generation of leaders

Today in 1948, President Truman ordered the desegregation of the U.S. Armed Forces, a pivotal moment in the fight for equality and dignity in uniform. As a proud member of the House Armed Services Committee, I remain committed to advancing equity and inclusion for all who serve our nation with honor
