I'm grateful for the work we've done together to support women, girls, and folks in the MA-7th and across the country. Your stewardship of the gavel has helped move our nation forward and it's been an honor to serve alongside you during these unprecedented times.
Thank you, Madam Speaker. Thank you for your grit, grace, unshakeable faith, and strategic brilliance. You've been the most effective Speaker of the House in American history, breaking barriers, fighting hard for workers and families, and serving as a mentor to so many of us.

Federal workers ensure your heat is on, your families are fed, your childcare needs are met, & more. They deserve dignity & respect. But under the Trump-Republican shutdown, they are losing both their livelihoods and their ability to serve our communities. Shameful.
ICE abducted 9 documented workers at a car wash in Allston & denied them the chance to retrieve their documents — this is cruel & harrowing. My office is in touch with the families and working with them to track down their loved ones & connect them with legal counsel.

Today is day 36 of Trump's govt shutdown, the longest shutdown in US history—second only to his 2019 shutdown. Republicans continue making history for all the wrong reasons. It's time for them to reopen the govt, save healthcare, & feed our families. And the people agree.
Trump is refusing to comply with a court order to fund SNAP, despite having the funds to ensure folks are fed through Nov. I convened food providers in the #MA7 who could go under as a result. Republicans are letting families go hungry & devastating local economies. Their shutdown must end NOW.

Shameful and unlawful. Trump is trying to defy a court order and refusing to fund SNAP during the shutdown HE and Republicans created. He is literally weaponizing hunger to harm our families, and the cruelty is the point.
A Truth Social post on SNAP posted by Occupant Trump.
Trump and Republicans' govt shutdown and refusal to fully fund SNAP isn't just leaving families hungry. It's also threatening the small businesses who feed them and destroying local economies. Republicans must end their government shutdown NOW and keep our families fed.
It is damning that it took a court order for Trump to act on SNAP during Republicans' govt shutdown. And he is still only funding partial benefits for families who need food assistance. Trump must FULLY fund SNAP benefits and Republicans should end this shameful shutdown NOW.
Breaking News: The Trump administration will send only partial payments this month to the millions who receive food stamps, as the shutdown continues.
It's been over a month that federal workers & contractors have gone without pay. They've had to take out loans, work side gigs, & visit food pantries to make ends meet. Why? Because Trump & Republicans refuse to negotiate to reopen the govt & save healthcare for millions.
Federal workers are turning to low-cost loans to help tide them over financially as the U.S. government shutdown drags on.
Our federal workers & contractors are headed into another month without pay. I shared a meal with a few @unitehere.org workers, many of whom work in food service, to hear how this GOP shutdown has impacted them. My bill would ensure they get their rightful backpay once the govt reopens.

Democrats are in this shutdown fight because healthcare is on the line. Healthcare is a human right and accessing it is literally a matter of life and death. Here's how much premiums will skyrocket in the #MA7 if Trump & Republicans get their way:
A graphic that reads:

Trump's healthcare crisis will send premiums skyrocketing in the MA-07.

Here's how:

For a 60 year old couple earning $82,800 a year, annual premiums will rise by $14,570.

For a family of four earning $64,000 a year, annual premiums will rise by $2,571.

For a family of four earning $129,800 a year, annual premiums will rise by $9,634.
There is a genocide & humanitarian crisis in Sudan. The reports of mass killings, starvation, and displacement in El Fasher are horrifying. The US must hold the UAE & any other arms dealers to the RSF accountable and act urgently to save lives.
1 month of Republicans' govt shutdown: Federal workers & contractors unpaid, empty food pantries, unpaid medical bills. Tomorrow, 42M people could loose food assistance if Trump CHOOSES not to fund SNAP. Republicans, we've been ready to reopen the govt & protect families. Step up.
Good. Trump had no excuse to cut off food assistance other than his own cruelty and contempt for families. @usdagov.bsky.social must comply NOW and keep our communities fed.
Breaking News: A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to continue paying for food stamps during the government shutdown. SNAP, which aids 42 million people, was set to run out of funds on Saturday without intervention.
