That the Supreme Court would give Trump a green light to continue firing federal workers is shameful. These dedicated employees do essential, lifesaving work that keep us safe and our government functional. I'll keep pushing until every federal worker can continue their work.

I was a congressional aide for 16 years before being elected to Congress. And in that time, I learned the importance of creating and taking up space. I recently joined the Congressional Black Associates and told our dedicated Black Hill staffers: take up space, you all belong everywhere.

Heartbroken for everyone impacted by the catastrophic flooding in Texas, including those who've lost & are still searching for loved ones. And I'm grateful for the work of our dedicated first responders. My team and I stand ready to support any impacted families from the #MA7.
To have known Sarah-Ann was to love her, and I’m grateful for her family, @mayorwu.boston.gov, @bpl.boston.gov, & for those who advocated for this library renaming as a powerful tribute to her mark on our home. May her legacy be forever honored in Roxbury.

A trailblazing, beloved, & proud daughter of Roxbury, Sarah-Ann Shaw dedicated her life to educating & empowering the City of Boston by unapologetically telling our stories, shattering concrete ceilings & mentoring other Black journalists. www.boston.com/news/local-n...
It's 1am and Republicans are struggling to pass their Big, Ugly Bill that would harm millions of families. Their cruelty, chaos, and dysfunction are keeping the American people in limbo. Democrats are ready to reject this shameful bill and we must keep the pressure up.
Republicans claim to be the party of God, but I can't find a psalm that says "Thou shalt make people poorer, hungrier, and sicker.” And that's exactly what their Big, Ugly Bill would do. We'll continue to resist, obstruct, and use every tool to stop it in its tracks.
How would Trump’s Big, Ugly Bill harm Massachusetts families? —Over 320,000 would lose health insurance — At least 103,000 could lose food assistance — 63,334 students could lose their Pell grants — 11,000 manufacturing & energy jobs would be cut
🚨Trump and Republicans are attacking Planned Parenthood and other essential providers in their Big, Ugly Bill. While we fight to stop it, I'm filing an amendment with @degette.house.gov to protect Planned Parenthood & help ensure everyone in America can access the reproductive healthcare they need.
A graphic that reads:

Why the amendment?

Trump and Republicans are doing everything they can to attack Planned Parenthood and other essential healthcare providers as part of their extremist march toward a nationwide abortion ban—and their Big, Ugly Bill is just the latest example of that.

While we fight to stop this bill, my amendment with my Reproductive Freedom Caucus Co-Chair Rep. DeGette would protect Planned Parenthood while helping ensure everyone in America can get the reproductive healthcare they need, regardless of income, insurance, or zip code.
A graphic that reads:

What does the amendment do?

It strips language in Trump’s Big, Ugly Bill prohibiting Medicaid reimbursements to Planned Parenthood and other essential reproductive healthcare providers, and replace it with the text of the EACH Act.

The EACH Act is bold legislation to repeal the Hyde Amendment and lift unjust abortion coverage restrictions for those who depend on Medicaid and other government-sponsored plans.
