Trump’s plan to seize control of D.C.’s police & unleash the National Guard on the city’s youth & homeless is lawless and a terrifying abuse of power. Does anyone really think the twice-impeached, twice-indicted instigator of a violent insurrection cares about public safety?
Pets are family. No one should have to choose between a safe place to sleep and keeping them. Proud to join @RepJasonCrow at @HumaneCo to introduce the PUPP Act to ensure Coloradans experiencing homelessness aren't forced to abandon their pets.
Another lie from Trump. He never planned to ensure medical coverage for IVF treatment, and his handpicked Supreme Court justices have put IVF at risk in numerous states. I know how important it is that we reduce the barriers so many face, but like most things, Trump is taking us backwards.
I joined members of Colorado Democratic Delegation in a visit to the GEO ICE facility in Aurora. I’m deeply concerned about the well-being of the people who are being detained at this facility and Trump’s unlawful use of ICE.
I'm joining my CO Democratic colleagues in calling on CMS to renew Colorado’s Medicaid waiver program to ensure our kids will have continuous medical care. This continuity of care prevents our kids from slipping through the cracks and is an investment in the lives of those who need it the most.
So many of us on the Front Range know too well how hard bad air quality days are, especially for our little ones. Now Trump gave the go-ahead to make our air quality worse by giving power plants unlimited ability to pollute. This is going to be bad for our health & needlessly expensive for taxpayers
Donald Trump said he would lower costs on day one. He lied. The only costs he lowered were for the wealthiest people. He’s even going after the 8 million Americans with student loans. Borrowers will now be forced to pay down the interest on their loans. Failure to pay will lead to financial ruin.
Remember when Trump promised to eliminate government fraud & waste? His Big Bad Bill does the opposite – explicitly protecting states with the most errors from cuts.  It was never about efficiency. It was always about taking away food & health care from the people who need it most.
In Colorado, we know firsthand the devastating cost of wildfires. Trump is withholding the millions of dollars we rely on to make sure our community is prepared. I joined members of our delegation in pressing @USForestService to release these funds.
Water is life in Colorado but Trump is illegally withholding $140M for Colorado River projects. These funds are critical for drought relief and Western Slope infrastructure. I joined colleagues across the aisle to demand their release. Every day of delay puts our future at risk.
No president, including Trump, should have unchecked power to send troops into our communities. We have all been horrified watching what happened in California, which is why I co-sponsored the Insurrection Act, so no future president can abuse their power and antagonize our communities.
Tourism is the lifeline to our mountain communities & because of the tariffs & Trump’s threats to our allies, we are seeing significant decrease in tourists to the US. Many people voted for Trump because he promised to lower costs. Instead, he has been a wrecking ball to our economy
We kicked off our work in the district answering questions from constituents who are deeply concerned about the impacts of the “big ugly bill” at Eaton Senior Communities. I promise to continue to use my position and do everything in my power to protect the programs our seniors rely on.
Buying a home has become further and further out of reach.  It is essential we come together in a bipartisan way to increase the housing supply and bring down costs for families. I am proud to be recognized by @BPC_Bipartisan with the Terwilliger Bipartisanship in Housing Award.
This is the stuff of dictators, not democracies. Trump is a conman, but he won’t be able to con his way out of the economic pain that will be felt throughout the country because of his reckless decisions, no matter what jobs reports he forces someone to put out.
Huge thanks and congrats to our amazing summer interns! Your energy, hard work, and passion made a real impact on our office and CO-07. We’re so grateful and can’t wait to see what you do next! I’ll be rooting for you!
Today marks Colorado’s 149th year of statehood.  From the plains to the mountains and everywhere in-between, there’s nowhere else like it. I promise to keep fighting to protect our way of life and ensure our state continues to thrive.  Happy CO Day, to our Colorful Colorado!
