As Trump slashes federal funding & drives up costs, it’s more important than ever that we support families and invest in our communities. I'm using my position to advocate for millions of dollars for local projects in #CO07, and I’ll keep fighting to make sure these investments are delivered.
I know how scared people are right now because of the cruel and illegal actions of the Trump Administration. Now more than ever we need fierce advocates, organizers, attorneys, and community leaders working together for a more just and humane immigration system and I’m proud to stand alongside them.
I’m honored to receive the Michael Maggio Award from @aila.org for my work in Congress supporting immigrant communities and to be recognized by @bradleywhitford.bsky.social who has been a tireless advocate for immigrant rights.
Thinking of families in Texas as floods continue to devastate communities across the state – especially the campers and counselors at Camp Mystic. I can’t begin to imagine the grief families are feeling right now. My heart breaks for those who have lost everything in such a short time.
@hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social has been speaking on the floor for 4 hours about the consequences of this Big Ugly Bill. He recognized Sam and I for flying to DC every week to fight for the American people and against this bill. Leader Jeffries makes us proud and one day, Sam will be too.
The GOP claimed their billionaire-first budget would save money but we’ve known all along that was a lie. Now it’s confirmed: millions will be uninsured & trillions of dollars will be added to the debt. All to give tax handouts to the wealthiest people in the world. apnews.com/article/cbo-...
Colorado's public lands are who we are — they drive our economy & define our way of life. And we just stopped Republicans’ attempt to sell them off to the highest bidder. Thanks to everyone who spoke out and sent a clear message: these are our lands and we will never let you take them from us.
The Supreme Court has allowed President Trump to end birthright citizenship in some parts of the country - stripping away a constitutional right for first-generation Americans who were born here and are rightfully US citizens.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court, in a 6-3 vote, just handed Trump a major win by limiting judges’ ability to block his birthright citizenship order nationwide. Read more: ow.ly/c2hu50Whvgn
This is Malakai from Littleton, CO. At just three years old, he was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder. Thanks to Medicaid, he’s received life-saving surgeries and therapies that private insurance wouldn’t cover – and he’s thriving today because of it.
Republicans’ budget doesn’t include work requirements – it includes paperwork requirements that are designed to kick people off the healthcare they rely on. It will force us to fire health care workers like doctors and nurses and hire bureaucrats instead.
June is Pride Month! 🌈 Everyone deserves to be exactly who they are and love who they love without fear or discrimination. The LGBTQ+ community continues to be a target of the far-right. I promise to continue to keep fighting back alongside you.
Happy Father's Day to all the dads & father figures out there! I am grateful to my husband who is an amazing partner & father. Davis & Sam are lucky to have such a loving and supportive dad. There’s nothing harder or better than being a parent & I’m thankful to be doing it alongside you.
I’m so deeply sorry to the families and loved ones of State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband and State Senator John Hoffman and his wife as they receive care. There is no place for this in our country.
Coloradans: if you’re planning to protest today’s authoritarian-style military parade, remember: remain peaceful & know your rights. We stand up & speak out without resorting to the tactics of the Trump administration. No violence & no intimidation.
