This week, I attended #CelebrateChuckwalla, hosted by Protect CA Deserts - alongside conservationists, tribal nations, renewable energy leaders, business owners, and key partners. Thank you to all the supporters that were an integral part of getting #ChuckwallaNationalMonument designated!
That’s why I’ve taken action, sending letters to President Trump and his Administration and advocating for legislation that limits his ability to hurt our communities. This is just the beginning, more to come. Stay tuned.
The crash at Reagan National Airport in D.C. is heartbreaking. My heart goes out to the families of victims. Thank you to the first responders, especially those that performed search and rescue in the freezing water in the dark.
It’s always good to visit friends at the Pass Area Veterans Expo. We spoke to veterans and began our casework advocacies to serve them. I have & will consistently show up for our brave veterans who served our nation. Thank you for giving my team and me the opportunity to serve you. It’s our honor.
Happy Friday! There’s nothing better than starting the day with a sip from my #CoachellaValleyCoffee cup while working hard for the incredible people of our district. It’s my little way of bringing a taste of our desert to Washington, DC! 🌵
We need bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform that secures our borders, stabilizes our workforce, improves our economy, provides a pathway to citizenship starting with dreamers and farm workers, and respects the dignity of individuals.
Your wellbeing is my priority. That’s why I got a briefing by the CDC on the H5N1 “Bird” flu. So far, no known human to human transmission has been reported. Those that work in poultry & dairy farms are at highest risk. The number of cases remain low. I’ll keep on it for you all.
Since its enactment, 1.8 million claims have been submitted, with 74.9% approved and over $6.8 billion awarded. In #CA25, 36,169 veterans call our district home, with 3,850 local PACT Act claims submitted. Learn more at VA.gov/PACT or call my office at (760) 424-8888 Thank you Mr. President.
Under President Biden's leadership, we've seen a presidency defined by decency, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to delivering results for the American people. His commitment to veterans shines through with the PACT Act, ensuring they receive the care they’ve earned.
This is a major victory for environmental conservation and renewable energy, made possible by the leadership and collaboration of tribes, community leaders, and partner organizations. Together, we are shaping a more sustainable future!
📣 Exciting Announcement! Just left the #WhiteHouse, where President Joe Biden officially designated the #ChuckwallaNationalMonument under the Antiquities Act, protecting 624,000 acres of vital desert habitat in our region.
