People are about to suffer astronomical increases in their health care costs, around $18K more a year, because Republicans refused to extend the ACA tax credits. This comes on top of the already rising costs driven by Trump’s tariff tax on the American people and their so-called Big Beautiful Bill.
Today, I spoke in committee against exemptions that could put tribal cultural sites and sacred lands in danger. I am committed to respecting tribal sovereignty, protecting tribal history, and making sure tribal communities are included in every permitting decision.

I’m saddened to hear about the two National Guardsmen shot today in Washington, DC.
Our servicemembers make tremendous sacrifices to keep us safe, and my prayers are with the victims and their loved ones.
Violence is never the answer and has no place in our country.
Safe, reliable, and affordable energy isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity for everyone. That’s why, on the House Floor, I stood united against legislation that would only drive-up costs and make it harder for all of us to keep the lights on, cool our homes, and power our lives.
Thank you to SEIU-UHW nurses for stopping by and discussing better working conditions.

"This bill is a substantial giveaway to major oil and gas corporations, billionaires, executives – at the expense of working people, once again."
@repraulruizmd.bsky.social was clear: working families cannot afford Republican's reckless LNG scheme that will raise energy costs even more 👇
