This latest incident underscores the urgent need for Congress to exercise robust oversight over federal immigration enforcement operations, including clear standards for use-of-force, training, and accountability mechanisms.
My thoughts are with the individual’s family, loved ones, and all those directly affected by this tragedy.
Every life lost is a profound loss, and no community should be placed in a position of fear during law enforcement actions.
