Susan tuned into my virtual town hall and asked about ICE raids across the country. This is how I plan to protect our community:

The Trump administration is clearly violating individual rights and denying due process to people within our country.
Last night, I held a virtual town hall with over 13,000 constituents. To open up our conversation, I spoke about affordability and tackling the high costs of health care, housing, and energy.
Trump's tariffs are driving up prices and hurting the cost of living in this country.
Earlier this month, I sat down with local experts for a food insecurity roundtable to discuss the impacts of SNAP cuts, demand for services, and reduced funding to purchase food. Hunger should never be weaponized in our country, and I look forward to continuing our work to bring food to the table.

Rep. Smith: One of the cornerstones of Trump's campaign was inflation is too high. Then he comes in and puts tariffs on everything. Now, belatedly, he's figuring out that he set the house on fire, so maybe he ought to put it out. Trump has done literally nothing to help the high cost of living
Trump's chaotic policies are driving up prices for energy, health care, and food.
Our schools shape the next generation of leaders, and it’s important we provide our education system with the tools it needs to succeed. During American Education Week, I want to recognize the teachers, faculty, staff, and families that help our young students every day.
Let's release the Epstein files.
Please join me TONIGHT at 6 p.m. for a Virtual Town Hall. Attendees can join a livestream on Instagram, YouTube, X, or Facebook at @RepAdamSmith. It’s important to me that as your congressman, I hear your questions and concerns, so I hope you’ll join us tonight.
The charges filed against Congresswoman McIver are without justification and a gross abuse of prosecutorial power. It is a disturbing overreach for the Executive Branch to criminalize a Member of Congress. I join my colleagues in standing behind Congresswoman McIver against this baseless charge.
Since February, families in Washington state have paid more than $948 because of inflation under Trump. Despite his promises that he'd "bring the cost of everything way down," the cost of basic groceries including coffee, beef, and bananas have increased for most Americans.
Join me on Monday, November 17 at 6 p.m. PT for a Virtual Town Hall. You may join livestreams on X, Facebook, Instagram or YouTube, or visit adamsmith.house.gov/live. I hope that you can join me then.
We need to build a large coalition. I joined @king5news.bsky.social earlier this week to talk about the path forward for Democrats.
My statement on voting “no” on the Senate deal to reopen the government:
Throughout the shutdown, Donald Trump and House Republicans tried to inflict the maximum amount of pain on the American people.
This legislation will tackle financial and logistical barriers that keep working people from accessing opportunities. Washington is setting the standard of how these programs could support individuals across our country.
I'm proud to have introduced bills to expand access to workforce training and provide wraparound services.
Apprenticeship programs in our state offer a path to meaningful, high-paying careers without requiring costly four-year degrees.
I will fight to make sure this government shutdown fight does not jack up insurance costs any more for those in our district.
