I wanted to share a touching story—Antioch native Libby Deichsel was crowned Ms. Wheelchair of Illinois USA and will now represent Illinois at the national championship competition in July! Thank you, Deichsel, for sharing your inspiration with us.

Participate in my annual "Valentines for Veterans" program by writing Valentine's Day cards for veterans in the 10th District. Drop off or mail cards to my Lincolnshire office: 111 Barclay Blvd, Ste 200, Lincolnshire IL 60069 by February 12th.
We can all agree that drug dealers, gang members & violent criminals should be taken out of our communities & returned to home countries if here illegally.
We should also agree that kids should always feel safe & protected in schools. They should not be the target of ICE raids.
President Trump withdrew the US from the Paris Climate Accords, signaling that the US is turning its back on a healthy & safe future.
That can't happen. I led 130+ House Dems to call on President Trump to rejoin the Paris Agreement. We must lead on, not ignore, climate change.
Join me in celebrating International Day of Education and recognize the positive impact that education has had on our youth. Education is a pillar of our society and is paramount to the development and success of all children. Thanks to the teachers and faculty who make this day possible!
I spoke with ABCNews Live about how President Trump’s first few days in office has been defined by sweeping pardons for criminals who attacked police officers rather than bringing down prices and helping families.
The U.S. remains steadfast in our goal to reinforce our relationship with Romania for the mutual prosperity of our countries. I spoke with Andrei Muraru, the Romanian Ambassador to the U.S., about some pressing issues, including defending our democracies and election integrity.
"Many of the cuts Republicans are contemplating target programs aimed at helping low-income Americans, all in the service of paying for the extension of tax cuts that disproportionately benefit the wealthy." www.nytimes.com/2025/01/23/u...
Waukegan locals discussed the status of Dreamers on MLK Day. My thoughts:
I see you, I appreciate you and I will protect you. Brought to this nation as children, today’s Dreamers deserve a pathway to become citizens of the only country they know and love.

Trump Day 1: Pardoning criminals who assaulted police officers and vandalized the heart of our nation's capital.
Disgraceful.

2 weeks left for all K through 5th-grade students in the 10th district to participate in Brad's Bookworms by reading 10 books. Go to my website to find out more information on how you can join in on the challenge! If you have questions, please contact my office at (847)-383-4870.
Great to join JAC and Rep. Budzinski, Policy Vice Chair of the New Dems, in Glencoe to discuss the New Democratic Coalition's role in Congress and how we can work together to make progress and find common ground.
The cap on the state and local tax (SALT) deduction has cost families and communities in the 10th district for the past 6 years. I'm proud to support a bipartisan effort in Congress to lift that cap by introducing the SALT Deductibility Act with several Democrats and Republicans.
President Biden’s leadership has been transformative and will be felt for decades to come. I thank him for his commitment, service, and love for this nation.
Joe Biden lowered healthcare costs. The Inflation Reduction Act lowered prescription drug costs & capped insulin costs for seniors. This year, seniors will still reap the benefits of his leadership – Medicare recipients will save thousands w/ the $2,000 cap on prescription drugs.
Joe Biden rebuilt America’s infrastructure. His Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is a once-in-a-generation investment that will quite literally help our communities for decades.
Joe Biden has led the rebuilding of our economy, making it the envy of the world. Biden created:
✅16.6 million new jobs
✅Historic wage growth
✅Decreased inflation to pre-pandemic levels
🧵incoming -> Joe Biden took over the White House in the middle of a pandemic, when our economy was reeling and Americans were desperate to get back to normal life.
🚨🚨 A ceasefire and hostage release deal has been reached between Israel and Hamas.
I'll work with anyone to advance a good idea. That's true of @newdems.bsky.social & it's why I'm so proud to serve as Chair. We're ready to roll our sleeves up, look for commonground & areas of compromise, & get good work done for the American people. www.dailyherald.com/20250111/us-...
