The New World Screwworm was eradicated in the U.S. decades ago. Now it's back — with over a dozen U.S. cases last month alone. I wrote to USDA Secretary Rollins urging her to surge federal resources to protect livestock before it ravages farming communities in Arizona and beyond.
Dilan and his mom spent nearly three weeks in ICE detention. Sadly, he missed his 8th grade promotion ceremony with his classmates. Yesterday the Tempe community came together to recognize his accomplishment. ⬇️
Me enorgulleció organizar esta ceremonia junto a sus amigos, familiares y la comunidad de Tempe, quienes estuvieron allí para apoyarlo y celebrar su logro. ¡Felicidades, Dilan! Te lo has ganado.
Today we honored Dilan Paredes with an uplifting 8th grade promotion ceremony. His first was taken from him after ICE detained him the day before his classmates got recognized. I was proud to host this ceremony with his friends, family, and the Tempe community cheering him on.
Child care costs are crushing Arizonans and keeping parents out of the workforce. I'm backing the Child Care for Working Families Act to lower costs for parents, expand access to quality care for kids, and pay child educators and care workers a living wage. Let's get it done.
Trump dragged us into a war without a goal or a plan, and now he wants to end it with a deal his own party can't even defend. Our founding fathers designed checks and balances for exactly this reason.
Trump's war in Iran is one of the worst foreign policy decisions in American history. 15 weeks in, all he has to show for it is an agreement that spends billions to rebuild Iran while leaving the nuclear question unresolved.
When House Republicans let the Affordable Care Act tax credits expire, 120,000 Arizonans lost their coverage and premiums spiked for everyone else. Extending those credits is one of the quickest ways to bring down healthcare costs. I’ll keep fighting to get it done.
Happy Juneteenth! On this day 161 years ago, the last enslaved Americans learned of their freedom. Today is an important day to reflect on our history & celebrate the generations of Black Americans who have fought, marched, & sacrificed for our country.
