I proposed an amendment directing NASA to study the impact of these self-defeating tactics. Republicans did not support it.
I'm committed to ensuring that young people have access to the tools needed for skilled technical careers that support NASA and its partners.
My amendment, which passed in the Science Committee, encourages NASA to partner with the private sector to bring more young people into these careers.
NASA plays a critical role in developing and deploying technology to improve wildfire response and mitigation.
My amendment, which got unanimous support in the Science Committee, directs NASA to provide actionable recommendations so we can improve coordination while keeping Oregonians safe.
Rosa Parks was born on this day in 1913.
Her courage was a catalyst for momentous change. And to this day, it inspires us all as we continue our pursuit towards a more just and equal nation.
If ICE isn’t held accountable, their abuses will continue.
@merkley.senate.gov and I introduced a bill so people can sue the government if ICE or CBP infringe on their constitutional rights.

On World Cancer Day, let’s remember those we’ve lost, support those who are currently battling, and advocate for better prevention and treatment.

I joined @punchbowlnews.bsky.social alongside my Mental Health Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Tony Gonzales for a panel on youth mental health.
Mental health shouldn’t be a partisan issue. Young Americans are facing a mental health crisis, but we’re focused on delivering real solutions.
The 15th Amendment was ratified on this day in 1870 — banning racial discrimination at the ballot box.
Today, Trump is trying to threaten our right to vote, but I’m working to ensure every Oregonian can make their voice heard.

Our communities should not have to live in fear of the very people sworn to protect them. Enough is enough.
I joined @merkley.senate.gov and Rep. Derek Tran to highlight stories from victims of ICE overreach. Our new legislation holds ICE and CBP accountable for abusing our rights. (1/2)
Instead of reining in an out-of-control ICE, the Trump Administration is investigating and harassing the journalists who are covering ICE’s abuses.
President Trump and his cronies’ assault on the press cannot be overlooked. I joined my colleagues in demanding answers.
The Department of Homeland Security is causing chaos in our communities right now.
Secretary Noem has got to go.
Hear what I have to say on KGW about impeaching her 🎧
I voted NO on today’s spending package. I won’t vote to give another cent to ICE while they keep terrorizing our communities and violating our rights.
