The disastrous chain of reckless escalations beginning with the US-Israeli war of choice against Iran, followed by Hezbollah's tragic decision to join the war looks to be culminating in another Israeli ground invasion in Lebanon.

The U.S. is the richest country in the world, yet millions of Americans are forced to make impossible decisions like skipping meals or cutting back on utilities to afford health care. It's not right.
Congress must restore and expand the Affordable Care Act tax credits.

Just so we’re keeping track, here are basic questions the Trump Administration can’t answer:
- Are we at war with Iran?
- What is the goal?
- How long will this go on?
- What is the cost?
- Will we put troops on the ground?
This President has no plan. This reckless war needs to end.

Donald Trump has shown time and again that freedom and democracy for the Iranian people are not his priority.
He launched an illegal war—risking tens of thousands of U.S. servicemembers—without congressional approval or a clear plan.

They either didn't know Iran would shut down the Strait of Hormuz or they knew and didn't have a plan.
Either way - just totally clear they don't give a damn about what this war means for hardworking Americans.
My thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the six American servicemembers lost. May they rest in peace.
Their loss is a painful reminder of the human cost of war.
A new @jecdems.bsky.social report finds that Donald Trump's effort to implement new tariffs after SCOTUS struck down IEEPA tariffs last month would cost the average American household $2,512 in 2026.
That's a HUGE 44% jump from the added $1,745 in tariff costs just last year.

Americans are working harder & longer & still can't make ends meet.
I'm proposing a bill to cut taxes for 130 million workers, paid for by a surtax on income over $1 million a year.
It's time our tax code worked for working people & the wealthiest pay their fair share.
Under President Trump, working Americans are struggling while the wealthiest among us are thriving but it doesn't have to be this way.
I'm working with @vanhollen.senate.gov on the Working Americans' Tax Cut Act to ensure the wealthiest among us pay their fair share.

I’ll tell you who gives a [bleep] about housing – the millions of Americans who find it increasingly difficult to afford rent, let alone buy a home.
Donald Trump has failed to deliver on his promise to lower prices. And it’s clear he simply doesn’t care.
The tragic loss of Lt. Col. Brandon Shah, a decorated Army aviator and tireless ODU ROTC instructor, is devastating. I send my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the Old Dominion University community.
Lt. Col. Shah’s service will not be forgotten.
No one should have to fear attacks on their schools or houses of worship as has become the reality for many American Jews.
I was horrified to hear of the antisemitic attack on Temple Israel in Bloomfield Township, Michigan. I am very grateful to the brave security personnel and first responders who kept everyone safe.

I was horrified to learn of the violent tragedy that occurred at Old Dominion University this morning. I am thankful for the first responders who were able to neutralize the shooter before they could perpetrate any further violence.
President Trump should end this stupid war now and bring down gas prices for the American people.
Fortunately for his big oil donors though, Trump doesn’t mind your pain at the pump since they are going to "make a lot of money."
These aren't legitimate investigations. This is just Trump scrambling for legal justifications to hit the American people with more tariffs.
The only solution is for Congress to stop this by reclaiming its authority over tariffs. We must get it done.
"As many as 724,000 service members, their families and veterans may rely on health care at hospitals that face financial vulnerability, partly due to cuts in President Trump's megabill, according to a new analysis."

Americans deserve immediate answers on how this data being used and how those responsible will be held accountable.
This massive breach is a predictable consequence of Donald Trump and Elon Musk granting their untrustworthy goons unfettered access to some of our most sensitive government data and every American's personal information.
An appalling consequence of Trump's war of choice, compounded by his ongoing lies. Those cheering this on need to reckon with what they have wrought.
