Trump's plan to kill national abortion rights essentially worked: 13 states have complete bans on abortion. Now Republicans want to repeal the one law we have to protect access to reproductive health care, the FACE Act, which keeps women and doctors safe at their appointments.

Hundreds of fed up Vermonters came out to Taylor Park in St. Albans to protest. Whether you came with a sign, cheered in the crowd, drove by and honked — your voice was heard loud and clear! I’m here so we can fight alongside one another to save our democracy.
Burlington, over 16,000 of you mobilized and showed up to the beautiful waterfront to protest Trump and any authoritarianism in this country.
We're turning anger and anxiety into action. Trump cannot look away. This democracy is OURS.
During Gun Violence Awareness Month, I want to bring attention to something that Republicans slipped into the reconciliation bill in the middle of the night:
Deregulating gun silencers.
This is going to make us all less safe.
Grateful to catch up with Mohsen Mahdawi at the No Kings rally in Burlington.
Mohsen, Vermont stands with you!
For 13 years, #DACA has transformed lives, communities, and our country. Permanent legislative protections for DACA recipients, Dreamers, and immigrant youth benefit us all by ensuring our cities, neighborhoods, and homes can be stable and whole. I stand with immigrants.
I am horrified to hear this news and utterly heartbroken for the families of Democratic lawmakers Melissa Hortman and John Hoffman.
Trump and Republican leaders must denounce political violence in all forms. Stoking the flames of hate has deadly consequences.
I sat down with Lina Khan, one of our nation's biggest champions for fighting corporate greed and the former chair of the FTC.
If you feel like corporations are ripping you off, or that the economy is rigged against you, you're not imagining it. It's real.
It’s time we take on corporate power.
Vermont, tomorrow is a day to get out and send a message to the Trump administration:
No kings in America.
There are rallies and marches happening in towns across the state to defend our democracy. I'll be in Jamaica, Burlington, and St. Albans. See you out there!
Israel’s strikes on Iran now risk an out of control regional war. Trump’s recklessness and poor diplomacy adds to the danger and precariousness of this situation.
The Trump Administration must immediately work to deescalate.
The footage is disturbing. They threw a US Senator to the ground and handcuffed him for asking a question at a press conference. Fascism. Don’t look away.
There's no word to describe physically assaulting a US Senator for attending a press conference and asking a question other than authoritarianism.
Rep. McIver was doing her job conducting oversight at an ICE facility. Trump is trying to silence and intimidate us but he will fail. Members of Congress are proudly standing with @replamonica.bsky.social.
The Trump administration has no plans to actually protect consumers from corporate greed and power, the entire purpose of the FTC. Instead they're using any method they can think of to continue their obsession with demonizing trans kids.
In Vermont, $134 million could cover:
Housing for 15,255 families for a year.
Dinner for 34,634 families for a year.
Instead, Trump wasted this money sending troops unconstitutionally to Los Angeles.
I’m so sick and tired of Republicans dehumanizing trans kids, demonizing their parents, and controlling what's happening in your doctor's appointments.
All we want is kids to be able to get the health care that their parent deems necessary to keep them alive.
We're six months into Trump's campaign to detain, deport, and criminalize immigrants. Trump, Noem, and Rubio love to distort the law to justify abducting kids, families, and innocent people. They want to demoralize us. It's a psychological terror campaign meant to spread fear.
After sending in the National Guard, now Trump is sending Marines to Los Angeles to shut down all opposition to ICE.
Trump wants a military police state. He is violating our right to protest, speak out against injustice, and observe law enforcement activity.
As always with Trump, the cruelty and hate is the point.
Many Afghans had the backs of our armed service members. Banning them from traveling here, after all they sacrificed on behalf of the US, is backwards and utterly shameful.
Trump is using the protests in LA to try to seize more power. As a former history teacher, I know that this is what autocrats do. This needs to be a wake up call for all of us.
