This loss of funding means less access to opportunities for kids, and less support for parents.

So I’m introducing a bipartisan bill to protect these funds from being taxed. Help picking up the pieces shouldn’t come with strings attached.
Today, we remember the lives we lost on 9/11 and the heroes who responded with courage and sacrifice.
I am praying for those who lost a loved one on this day 24 years ago – everyone is somebody’s someone. We will never forget them or their stories.
I strongly support our military and our servicemembers, but Republicans’ defense funding bill put politics over national security.

A top concern I continue to hear from my constituents at my town halls is access to healthcare.
We need to make sure that everyone can get the care they need where and when they need it, and without breaking the bank.
Access to safe and reliable transportation and routes = FREEDOM.
That’s why I spoke with Oregon transit representatives to discuss ongoing needs in our district and ways I will continue to fight to bring funding home for projects in CD5.
As we make our way through wildfire season, it’s important that we mitigate risk as much as possible.
I stand ready to work with our partners on the ground to make sure they have everything they need to keep our communities safe.
We haven’t asked for the President to send the National Guard to Portland. In fact, none of the cities he’s deploying them to have asked for it.
It’s an abuse of power, and it needs to stop.
