While certainly not mourning the death of a despicable Iranian tyrant, Ali Khamenei, rarely has assassination of foreign leaders offered a pathway to peace.

Innocent Iranian children are apparently among the first to die from the reckless Trump/Netanyahu attack. But as Trump has already dismissively conceded, American lives will also likely be lost.
If Trump was truthful last year, that he
"obliterated" the Iranian nuclear program, then there was no imminent threat justifying the death and destruction from the Trump/Netanyahu attack today.
[2/2] Ignoring the lessons from Bush’s war, this unprovoked US/Israeli attack endangers us all. Trump again sends a message to other authoritarians Putin and Xi that war is a tool for the powerful to use whenever they choose.
[1/2] The fall of Saddam Hussein’s statue in Baghdad was the beginning, not the end of chaos in Iraq that led to 4,000 American deaths and cost $2 trillion. Iran is almost 4 times larger than Iraq with a much stronger military. Iran also has much greater capability for deadly retaliation.
2/2 to lead a worship service at the Pentagon. These ideas have no place in our country, much less in our government.
1/2 Hegseth’s apparent mission is to turn our dedicated servicemembers into white nationalist crusaders. He brought a “paleo-Confederate” who preaches that women should not have the right to vote, Christian enslavers were on “firm scriptural ground”, and that women should submit to their husbands --
[2/2] An estimated 80,000 undocumented family members of our active duty military and veterans were living here in 2020.
[1/2] The Trump regime is trying to deport the wife of a 100% disabled Marine veteran—a mother of 2 U.S.-citizen daughters, who entered legally but overstayed. This is what “tough on immigration” looks like: punishing military families.

As Trump and Republicans continue to put polluters over people to enrich their billionaire buddies, I'm working in Congress for clean air and water and to protect our natural resources and combat the climate crisis.
The winning artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. for a full year.
Looking forward to seeing the incredible creativity and talent of our district’s young artists.

I’m pleased to once again host the 2026 Congressional Art Competition and invite high school students across Texas’ 37th Congressional District to participate.
Theme: Austin

Parents should be able to send their kids to school without fear. Our neighbors in Uvalde deserved that. Instead of addressing real gun safety reforms, Republicans passed a loophole that makes weapons more accessible to felons. Real public safety means fewer weapons on our streets, not more loopholes
The DOJ is the lawyer for the American people, not the President. The files must be fully released and justice pursued. Survivors deserve accountability.
As Trump’s image covers the Justice Department building, Pam Bondi covers up for him inside. After ignoring the law and missing Epstein file release deadlines, Bondi conceals documents with alarming allegations concerning Trump.
Trump honored a rescuer and survivor of Kerr County flood while the Trump regime continues to hide records of what his Weather Service did or didn’t do that day that may have worsened the disaster.
The Constitution is clear: the power to tax and impose tariffs belongs to Congress. If Trump’s trade war continues to send prices sky-high, it will be because Congressional Republicans choose to enable it—not because Congress lacks the authority to stop it.
Here’s the critical point: these 15% across-the-board tariffs expire after 150 days – on July 24th, 2026 -- unless Congress votes to approve them. 2 weeks ago, Dems—joined by a handful of Republicans—forced a vote to reject Trump’s Canada tariffs despite months of obstruction by House GOP leadership
