I nominated the City of Arlington for $1 million to help build a new multi-use trail along SR-531. This project will create a safer, more accessible route for pedestrians & bicyclists.

Earlier this week, @murray.senate.gov & I discussed what’s really in Republicans’ Big Broken Promise—Devastating cuts to health care & food assistance that hurt WA families while handing another massive tax break to the wealthy.
Praying for the innocent civilians under threat in the Middle East tonight.
These strikes risk spiraling into a broader regional conflict. This situation needs to be de-escalated.
The U.S stands firm that a nuclear-armed Iran is unacceptable. Diplomacy needs to be the path forward.

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, Caucus Chair @aguilar.house.gov speaks out against the out of control Trump Administration detaining Senator Alex Padilla and preventing him from asking questions on behalf of the people he represents.
This is outrageous & absolutely unacceptable.
Sen. Padilla was forcefully removed & handcuffed for trying to ask a question at a press conference in the state he represents.
There must be an immediate investigation.
I asked Treasury Secretary Bessent a basic question: How can Americans know that you & the administration are protecting their sensitive personal information & following the law?
His answer? “Trust me.”
That’s not good enough.

Today marks 9 years since 49 innocent lives were stolen at Pulse Nightclub, an LGBTQI+ nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
As we remember the lives taken, we must recommit to ending the epidemic of violence against the LGBTQI+ community. #OrlandoStrong
Read our statement in our bio.
Washington manufacturing, farming, & tourism are feeling the impacts of Trump’s trade war.
Our economy depends on smart, stable trade policy, not chaos. I’m fighting for solutions that support WA jobs & communities.

🚨🚨 Treasury Sec. Bessent refuses to answer if he supports Trump creating a massive government database with your personal info.
This should have been an easy NO. Congress must practice oversight over the use of Americans’s personal data.
Got to spend time with students from Sky Valley Education Center in Monroe. Always a pleasure to meet young people who are engaged & curious about how our democracy works.
This evening, I joined my colleagues to honor the memory of Sarah Milgrim & Yaron Lischinsky, whose lives were stolen in a horrific act of violence.
We must stand united in condemning antisemitism.
House Republicans’ tax scam raises costs, cuts food programs, & kicks 16M off health care, just so the wealthy can get a tax break. Americans aren’t buying it—and shouldn’t have to pay for it.

House Republicans passed one of the most expensive bills in history.
This is what’s in it:

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @cisneros.house.gov talks about Donald Trump trying to distract the American people from his plans to throw 16 million Americans off the health care to pay for billionaire tax breaks.
Vaccine recommendations should be made by scientists, not conspiracy theorists.
RFK Jr. firing all the experts on the federal vaccine board so he can replace them with cronies is dangerous.
I started my career in medical research & I know science saves lives & protects our kids.

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @repricklarsen.bsky.social shares how Republican Medicaid cuts will impact YOU. House Democrats are fighting like hell to protect Medicaid because your friends and neighbors depend on it.

Excited to announce my nominations for over $40 million in dedicated federal funding for projects across WA-01.
Housing costs are one of the biggest burdens Washington families face. Republicans are trying to make it even more expensive to own a house by increasing mortgage rates, adding hundreds of dollars a year in interest payments.
The Republican budget bill will raise prices for WA Healthplanfinder plans that many small businesses & Washingtonians use to get health coverage. I’m working to lower health care costs and protect Medicaid/Apple Health.
