President Trump says he wants Wall Street and private equity out of housing.
Democrats have a bill to do exactly that – and boost affordable housing and homeownership. Will he support it?

Nobody is interested in the lies Donald Trump is telling about his tariffs.
Americans just want their money back.
Trump is trying to paint a rosy picture of the housing crisis.
In reality, a majority of Americans can’t afford rent on a modest 2 bedroom. Americans aren't buying their first home until 40.
And Trump’s tariffs have raised the costs of a new home by $11,000.
Donald Trump called this the "golden age of America."
For who?
Grocery prices are up.
Rent is up.
Utility costs are up.
Health care costs are up.
Donald Trump keeps saying he wants to cap credit card interest rates.
Americans being charged 25 or 30% interest rates are waiting for action — and Trump has failed to deliver.
But I’m not giving up.
Because kicking 15 million people off their health care to pay for corporate tax cuts worked so well the first time.
Homes shouldn’t be just one more investment vehicle for Wall Street.
Homes should belong to families.
Trump called me 6 weeks ago and said he wanted to lower credit card interest rates.
There’s still no deal to help American families save $100 billion a year.
Another broken promise from Trump on lowering costs.
Donald Trump has enough money to:
- Renovate his $400M Qatari jet
- Give Amazon a $7.8 billion tax break
- Send Kash Patel to party at the Olympics
But YOUR refund on his illegal tariffs?
Trump says eat dirt.
Democrats dropped a bill TODAY to stop private equity's housing takeover. Let's get this done.

Warren: "Warsh has been a high interest guy in good times & bad. It has been his one constant - until he wanted the job of fed chair. And then he said, 'I will say whatever Trump wants, bc that's the test for the job.' I don't think having a sock puppet as head of the Fed preserves Fed independence"
Our bill:
1) Ends Wall Street tax breaks for buying up homes
2) Reinvests the savings to build more housing and lower costs
3) Empowers antitrust enforcers to prevent corporate housing monopolies
4) Promotes new housing supply and incentivizes sales to real people.
Wall Street firms own millions of homes and are the biggest landlords of mobile homes. Corporate landlords bought 1 in 6 homes last year while first-time homebuyers bottomed out. Investors own up to 25% of metros like Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Charlotte.
We need to act now.
President Trump says he wants to stop Wall Street and private equity from buying up homes.
Democrats are introducing The American Homeownership Act to get it done - while boosting housing supply and lowering costs.
The President and Republicans should join us.

Working families are drowning in credit card debt—paying 25-30% interest while big banks post record profits.
Trump promised a 10% credit card interest cap but has failed to follow through.
Another promise broken.
Donald Trump and his Education Secretary are hellbent on illegally abolishing the Education Department and making our public education system worse.
Students and families deserve better.
We need a full investigation into this administration's attempts to sabotage our schools.
