“Entitlements” = Republican Establishment phrase for your EARNED benefits like Social Security & Medicare – benefits that I & my Democratic colleagues will keep fighting to defend from Co-Presidents Musk & Trump!

The Philly region receives $1.7 BILLION in NIH funding- making life-saving research, from developing cancer vaccines to studying rare disease treatments, possible.
A physician-scientist from Center City, said: "If the goal is to Make America Healthy Again, (cutting) this does the exact opposite."
Sorry to hear that! Our office should be able to post some clips from it next week.
Hey #Philly! Join Governor Shapiro, Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings, a representative from the ACLU, and myself for a telephone town hall TODAY at 11 AM.
You can dial in at 888-480-3686 or go to evans.house.gov/live
Today, the fight for this fundamental freedom is still urgent. That's why this week I joined my House Democratic colleagues in introducing the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
60 years ago, 600 freedom fighters were violently attacked on “Bloody Sunday” in Alabama as they marched for voting rights and equality for ALL.
Last week, almost every single House Republican voted to gut Medicaid and take away critical care from people like Katie from Northwest Philly.
#ICYMI this week I talked to Kathy, Katie's mom, about how these cuts will impact her family.

Thank you to The Chestnut Hill Local for reporting on my State of the District report!
#ICYMI in 2024, I secured over $13.3 million in federal funding for #PA03 and my office helped return another $4.5 million back to Philadelphians from federal agencies!
VA Secretary Collins tells veterans concerned about the impact of Trump’s mass firings on their EARNED health care & benefits: "We'll be making major changes. So, get used to it."
I oppose the Trump-Musk mass firings and funding freezes and will continue to speak out against them!
This is a disgusting betrayal of our nation's veterans by draft-dodger Donald Trump.
Gutting the VA will only make it harder for veterans in Philadelphia and beyond to access the health care and benefits they have EARNED.
House Republicans want to cut Social Security's EARNED benefits and close offices across the country that serve seniors.
House Democrats have a better idea: #ScrapTheCap so that millionaires and billionaires, like Elon Musk, pay their fair share all year long!
FACTS.
I'm very pleased to announce that Governor Shapiro, Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings, and a representative from the ACLU will be joining me this SATURDAY, March 8 from 11 AM to 12 PM for a telephone town hall!

The math simply doesn’t lie 👇🏾
NEW: Republicans cannot meet their own budget target without cutting Medicare or Medicaid, budget office says
The math is simple 👇
House Budget requires E&C to cut spending by $880 billion.
CBO says E&C oversees $581 billion outside Medicare/Medicaid.

I'm proud to be fighting alongside Rep. Larson and our House Democratic colleagues to stop the gutting of agencies like the Social Security Administration and the IRS that provide critical services to Philadelphians.
Today I met with members of the NTEU from #PA03 to discuss the impact of the Musk-Trump Administration’s actions on federal workers & services in Philly.
Trump promised not to "touch" Social Security- but his actions speak louder than words and are harming hard-working Americans.
I think I know why a lot of Republicans didn’t applaud last night when Trump attacked the Chips & Science Act. AWKWARD
A reminder: this NY GOP congressman lost by 8 points just days after the speaker said this in his district.
For over a hundred years, presidents sent the State of the Union message as a document. They didn’t give a speech to Congress.
Maybe it’s time to go back to that...
