It was great to catch up with the DuPage Co. mayors & discuss the importance of strengthening our local infrastructure.

I’m saddened to learn of the passing of Congressman Raúl Grijalva. In Congress, he was a strong voice for protecting the environment and a tireless advocate for his constituents in Arizona. He will be deeply missed.

Today, I was proud to join students, scientists, civil servants, and fellow Members of Congress at the Stand Up for Science Rally to call out the blatant attacks from the Trump administration on our scientific institutions.
I will always support the mission of the scientific community.
I had the opportunity to visit Boss Straw in Woodstock last year, and I was impressed by their manufacturing operation and innovation in sustainability.
This is yet another example of how Trump's policies are hurting manufacturers and businesses across the U.S. — including right here in IL-11.
NEWS: @beyer.house.gov and I sent a letter demanding answers from the Trump Admin on the indiscriminate firing of 168 NSF employees.
This loss of expertise and institutional knowledge at NSF will cause the US to miss out on scientific breakthroughs and pave the way for China to fill in the gap.
I will continue fighting back against Trump's reckless attempts to pause funding for vital community services that support our most vulnerable.
I'm not surprised that the President failed to mention any plans to address homelessness & the housing affordability crisis during his speech last night — but that won't stop the inspiring work of people like Joe Jackson, the Executive Director of Hesed House, from being a leader on these issues.
