Today marks 7 years since the horrific shooting at Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. 11 innocent lives were killed – ripped away from their community, family, and friends in a chilling act of antisemitism.

Both Skyline and the patients they serve are worried sick about Republican cuts to Medicaid. I refuse to rubber stamp a future where those in my district have to choose between expensive healthcare, or pain and suffering. You can count on me to hold the line. (2/2)
I visited Skyline Healthcare & Wellness Center, one of the many in-home care centers in my district which serves numerous Americans on Medicaid and Medicare. (1/2)
I will not let Republicans bully you into making impossible choices, like skipping a meal just to afford a check-up. (2/2)
If you’re on Covered California, the Republican Shutdown Sham budget means your healthcare costs will increase as much as 97% next year.
Californians simply can't afford that. 400,000 are expected to lose their coverage entirely. (1/2)
Ok, then call the House back into session.
The longer Speaker Johnson waits to call the House back, the longer the folks in AZ-7 go without democratic representation and solutions to keep their affordable healthcare.

LGBTQ history has been written by brave icons who faced relentless discrimination and attacks. This October, we honor their achievements and recommit ourselves to standing up for a new generation of LGBTQ Americans.
If House Republicans keep dragging their feet during their self-made shutdown, 1.5 million Americans will lose lifesaving healthcare.
Affordable healthcare is nonnegotiable. I’ll continue to hold the line and fight for lower cost healthcare for all.
House Republicans are nowhere to be found this week (as usual), but I’m in DC working to lower costs and protect your healthcare. (2/2)
Over the next couple of weeks, Californians will continue to receive notifications that their healthcare is going to get more expensive because of the Republican’s cruel budget. (1/2)
These aren’t abstract numbers.
This is the single mom skipping insulin.
The retired couple canceling doctor visits.
The young adult going uninsured because premiums just became rent.
It’s unacceptable and I’ll never rubberstamp an agenda that throws my constituents under the bus. (4/4)
But instead of negotiating, Speaker Johnson has refused to bring Congress back in session for more than 30 days. While he extends vacations, I’ll be back in D.C. pushing for action before families get priced out of coverage. (3/4)
In my district alone:
47,000+ could see premiums spike up to 300%
13,600+ risk losing their care altogether
Families will pay HUNDREDS of dollars more every month.
These tax credits are the only thing making care affordable for hardworking families. (2/4)
🧵🚨I just sat down with healthcare experts from Covered California and Saban Community Clinic. What they told me should alarm everyone.
If Congress doesn’t renew ACA tax credits, millions of Californians will face massive premium hikes — or lose coverage entirely. (1/4)
Happy Diwali! May this festival of light bring all those who celebrate happiness and prosperity.
There’s just under 2 weeks left to submit your application to my office for the Congressional App Challenge!
The apps students have created in the past have been creative and inspiring, and I have no doubt this year will bring more of the same creativity.
Today marks the 53rd anniversary of the passage of the Clean Water Act.
Every American deserves access to clean water, free of lead and forever chemicals. I’ll continue defending our natural resources for all our children and families.
Today is National Mammography Day, which serves as an important reminder for high-risk women to get their routine mammogram. As a breast cancer survivor, these are key to early detection and treatment.
Medicaid/Medi-Cal supports Californians living with disabilities & gives them the chance to get the medical support they need while living independently in their communities. But Republicans think that support should be “optional”. I couldn’t disagree more.
Even in the middle of a shutdown, the work doesn’t stop — especially when it comes to investing in our next generation of leaders. (2/2)
