The Trump Administration has gutted the Social Security Administration customer service lines. I’ve rallied against these actions since day one, and I’ll continue to demand they restore service so that our seniors get the answers they need. (1/2)
It was a joy to be at their ribbon-cutting this past weekend. I’m proud to represent so many wonderful small businesses in this district, and it’s my pleasure to champion their needs in Congress.
Wanna beat the heat? Perlas Ice Cream has you covered! This Asian-inspired, family-owned ice cream shop just opened in Montrose to bring great Filipino and Southeast Asian flavors to CA-30.
I’ve focused on making housing more affordable during my entire public service career, and am excited to be helping develop our strategy to cut housing costs and put a roof over the head of every American.
My colleagues and I are demanding that the Trump administration immediately release the millions they’ve withheld from California – an unconscionable action they’ve taken without any explanation. We’re not letting Trump play partisan games with American lives.
California contributes more to the federal government than it gets back. When it comes to getting the fire mitigation resources we need, this kind of partisan attack on California can have life or death consequences. (1/2)
Wildfire near a city at night with text about lawmakers demanding FEMA release funds.
Calling all CA-30 residents needing assistance with applying for or renewing their passport! My Passport Fair is happening RIGHT NOW, from 9 AM to 3 PM. I’m very excited to bring this service back to our community.
You all asked for another passport fair, and I’m happy to deliver. This time, I’m bringing my Passport Fair to Pan Pacific Park Recreation Center, on June 20 from 9 AM to 3 PM! (1/2)
Flyer for a free passport fair hosted by Rep. Friedman on June 20, 2026, at Pan Pacific Recreation Center, Los Angeles. Details include appointment sign-up via QR code and walk-in info.
A checklist for preparing for the Passport Fair on June 20th, including application submission and required documents. The design has a travel theme with various passport stamps.
History teaches us that progress is never a given in this country. It has been demanded and fought for by people who refused to let racism and bigotry trample on their unalienable rights.
On this day in 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas to tell more than 250,000 enslaved Black people that they had been emancipated. Juneteenth isn't just a day to honor their lives and the end of slavery. (1/2)
Colorful Juneteenth graphic with hearts and text.
That’s why I host these roundtables, so I can better understand what’s happening on the ground. I’m doing more than just listening – I’m taking every single issue back to Congress and pushing back so that our LGBTQ community get the respect and dignity they deserve.
I just wrapped up the second meeting of my LGBTQ advisory committee. Last year, this conversation put me on the path to wrestle back more than $19 million in HIV prevention resources for LGBTQ Angelenos. ⤵️
That’s why it's called health insurance – it's there if you need to use it. This is the kind of nonsense this Administration comes up with to justify kicking millions of Americans off their healthcare coverage.
