And instead of being upset at feeling misled, I would suggest that you put that energy toward an understanding that paywalls exist because journalists and writers need to get paid, and reframe your experience of clicking on stories to incorporate an understanding of why they're often not free.

It's also important to remember that if Lindsey Graham had had the courage to come out as a gay man, he would still have been every bit the terrible person he ended up being and probably would have cheerfully voted against our interests. I would gently warn against discussing it as the key to him.
People deserve to be remembered for who they were. Lindsey Graham tried on many different skins and ultimately settled on the very worst version of himself. There were, at one point, a few shreds of something you could call principles--not many, but they existed. There were none at the end.
