Today we mourn the passing of Jim Lovell, a legendary NASA astronaut who visited space 4 times including his command of the Apollo 13 mission. Jim made us all proud, and his legacy of travel to the stars, and moon above will not soon be forgotten. Rest in peace Commander Lovell.
On board the Glass City Pearl with Lake Erie Waterkeepers and local leaders to view some of the beauty of our precious Lake Erie. Still much work to be done to protect this great natural asset for future generations.
Today, as part of the #HonorOurVeterans Day of Action, I visited the Toledo VA to listen to veterans, and medical staff. Our veterans sacrificed so much. Our gratitude for them must be shown not just today—but every day. I will never stop fighting for those whose work for us to preserve Liberty.
As the leader for my party on the subcommittee that funds Army Corps of Engineers operations, I assure you we will get to the bottom of this.
Outrageous! Must be why he wasn’t available to meet about his Big Bonanza for Billionaires Bill which will devastate Ohio manufacturing jobs and our rural hospitals. The Army Corps of Engineers should share records with relevant committees of jurisdiction in Congress.
An honored tradition as the Federal Court hosted naturalization ceremonies swearing-in new citizens to our nation. I would not be where I am today if my family had not come to build a better life for themselves in NW Ohio. America is a nation of immigrants who breathe fresh life into our communities
Maumee and Monclova welcomed the new US 20A interchange at I-475/US 23 this week. Improved public safety along Illinois Avenue will help ensure safety for travelers on this busy interstate corridor. Honored to help improve public safety through our region.

60 years ago, the Voting Rights Act was signed into law—a landmark victory made possible by the courageous leadership of Black women like Ella Baker, Fannie Lou Hamer, and Diane Nash.
Today, we honor their legacy by continuing the fight for voting rights.
Today’s move to cancel $7 Billion in awards through the EPA’s Solar for All initiative, including $312 Million for Ohio is reckless, careless, and will cause job losses in American manufacturing.
This week we wish the United States Coast Guard a Happy 235th Birthday! From icebreaking on our Great Lakes, protecting our shores, their service keeps us safe and strong. I’m always proud to support your mission. Thank you to every Coast Guardswoman and Guardsman for your dedication and sacrifice.
Geothermal energy holds the potential to power millions of homes, slash greenhouse gas emissions, and lower energy costs. Let's create new jobs, lower electric bills, and strengthen our US energy security. Let's get it done and move America to an affordable energy independent future in perpetuity.

As a proud daughter of @UAW.org Local 12 it was an honor to spend the morning marching in the Jeep Parade with departing President Bruce Baumhower. A special thanks to @ShawnFainUAW.bsky.social for joining us in Toledo today as we celebrated Bruce’s decades of service standing up for our community.

44 years ago, on August 3, 1981, nearly 13,000 air traffic controllers, members of the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization (PATCO), walked out after contract talks with the Federal Aviation Administration collapsed.

Firing the nonpartisan commissioner of Bureau of Labor Statistics just hours after a deeply worrying report showing serious job loss in manufacturing is what you'd expect in a Banana Republic. Dr. McEntarfer is nonpartisan, and was confirmed with 86 bipartisan votes. This is no way to run a nation.
While the Trump Administration seems intent to kill domestic solar manufacturing and send those jobs to China, I am using every tool at my disposal to keep jobs in NW Ohio.
Our region being Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, the Great Lakes region.
This jobs report is deeply concerning. I fear what President Trump is doing to discourage business investment, abandon manufacturers, and raise costs will hit our region hardest. Everyday Americans suffer under tariff tax increases on goods they buy while the ultra wealthy get massive tax breaks.
He said the quiet part out loud — not only does the Big Bonanza for Billionaires Bill kick millions off health care, and take food off tables — it’s also a back door deal to privatize Social Security. They are stealing your hard earned benefits to give tax breaks to Billionaires!
