Learn more about my fight for nutritious food and lower healthcare cost:
robinkelly.house.gov/media-center...
Food insecurity pushes too many Americans toward cheaper, less nutritious food. The health consequences are real. We spend $1.1T each year treating diet-related diseases.
While Trump pushes reckless policies that make it worse, I’m fighting for a bill to prioritize nutritious food and lower costs.
My thoughts are with the residents of Kankakee County and all communities impacted by this week’s tornadoes, high winds, & hail.
I’ve been in touch with local officials and will do everything I can to support recovery & rebuilding. We will get through this together.
Join me at the Youth Opportunities Fair this Saturday!
Bring a friend and be ready to design your future with 60+ vendors offering jobs, internships, training, and resources.

Families across Illinois are grappling with the affordability crisis, which affects everything from rent to groceries to childcare. Prices are rising, and paychecks aren’t.
It’s time to address the costs for real American families and end this crisis.
I’m aware of the tornado that moved through Kankakee County tonight.
Please stay safe and follow guidance from local officials.
I’ll continue monitoring the situation and thinking of everyone affected.
Last summer, the Trump DOJ cut $800M+ in public safety grants nationwide, including gun violence prevention programs.
As temperatures rise, violence often rises too.
President Trump is making our communities more dangerous.
I will keep fighting to restore this proven & effective funding.
Come explore my Youth Opportunities Fair with me this Saturday. There’ll be 60+ vendors with jobs, internships, training, and resources. Youth of all ages are welcome!

Black women are still not heard in our hospitals. Mercedes Wells was sent home while in active labor. That is unacceptable.
Black women’s pain in childbirth cannot be ignored or dismissed. That’s why I introduced the WELLS Act to hold hospitals accountable and protect Black mothers.
The countdown is on. Just 5 days until my Youth Opportunities Fair.
Over 60 vendors will offer summer camps, internships, mentorship programs, jobs, and more for youth of all ages.

A Marine veteran, Sgt. Brian McGinnis, had his hand broken by Capitol Police and a Republican Senator for exercising his First Amendment rights.
Yet President Trump claims we’re sending troops to Iran to defend freedom.
Start by respecting our freedoms at home.
The American people are being asked to trust an administration that has not earned it.
Secretary Pete Hegseth refuses to rule out boots on the ground in Iran.
He and President Trump are risking American troops for a costly war no one wants.
When I came to Congress, I saw a gap in representation for Black women & girls.
With @RepYvetteClarke.bsky.social & @RepBonnie.bsky.social, we founded the Caucus on Black Women and Girls.
This Women’s History Month and beyond, we make sure Black women’s contributions are seen and protected.
On #InternationalWomensDay, while Donald Trump attacks women and fuels his chaos, the @DemWomenCaucus.bsky.social is standing firm.
We are standing firm against this administration’s reckless disregard for our freedoms. We’ve come too far to let bullies break us.
Rising gas prices and the cost of living are hitting families hard since Trump attacked Iran.
Trump’s response? “If gas prices rise, they rise."
He entered us into a costly war with no exit plan that no American wanted.
A lot happened last week.
In my latest newsletter, I recap the events that shaped this week—from Community Project Funding to the introduction of the WELLS Act to Krist Noem’s firing.

61 years after Bloody Sunday, we honor the bravery of those who marched, bled, and fought for our freedom and civil rights.
Last year, I walked arm in arm with my colleagues across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma. I won’t ever forget our power to keep marching forward.
169 years ago today, the Supreme Court denied basic rights for Black people in Dred Scott v. Sandford.
President Trump is trying to drag us back to that time.
I refuse to let that happen. I will continue to fight for a nation where liberty and justice for all is a reality.
