My thoughts are with President Biden and his family following this diagnosis and into his treatment. Having faced my own dad’s battle with cancer, I know how hard this can be. President Biden has spent years working to end cancer, and I know he’ll bring that same fight to this.
Happy Armed Forces Day! Today and every day, we owe our deepest gratitude to the courageous Americans who sacrifice so much to protect our country.
🗓️ WEDNESDAY, MAY 21 @ 6p ET
I’m hosting a virtual town hall from Washington to discuss some of the most critical issues facing our district. You can send questions with name and town of residence to the email below and watch live on my Facebook or YouTube channel. See you there!
A reminder that my office is hosting an information session on attending our nation’s service academies tomorrow at FAU. If you’re interested in learning more about this process or know someone who is, we hope to see you there!
Thank you to the Montaltos and Hoyers, two MSD families with Stand with Parkland, for meeting with me to discuss school safety.
As a graduate of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, keeping our schools safe is always my priority in Congress.

Trump in the MidEast? RFK Junior swimming in Rock Creek Park? And Republicans looking to chop Medicaid? Good thing I’ve got @repmoskowitz.bsky.social @ruthbenghiat.bsky.social and Doctor Rob Davidson on tap at 4p ET/ 1p PT on Substack. See you soon!

Moskowitz: "The DOGE caucus is dead ... by the way, they forgot the E part of DOGE. Nothing has been more efficient. Ask the people at Newark who are flying these days if they feel that we've made the FAA more efficient."

Moskowitz: "Donald Trump said he's not cutting Medicaid. That's what he's been saying, and yet Republicans come with almost $800 billion of Medicaid cuts, which is what Democrats have been talking about for the last five months. There are members here who have said they're not gonna cut Medicaid."

Moskowitz: "Can you imagine, just for a second, if Barack Obama had accepted a plane from Qatar? My Republican colleagues would be calling it the Barack Hussein Plane. This is just the height of ridiculousness ... Putin is watching this, thinking, what do I get Trump? Do I get him a yacht?"
I’ve signed onto a petition in the House to force a vote that would protect Medicaid and food assistance programs, which are lifelines for millions of Floridians.
If House Republicans claim their budget doesn’t slash these programs, they should have no problem taking this vote.
Yesterday, I had my final Youth Cabinet meeting for the 2024-25 school year. Thank you to all the students who’ve participated and represented their generation so well. And congrats to those graduating, who I know will continue to be outstanding leaders in their communities!
This reckless plan rips lifesaving healthcare away from millions of people who depend on Medicaid in red and blue areas alike, including more than 90,000 people in my district alone. Doesn’t sound like making America healthy to me.
I am thankful that Edan Alexander, kidnapped 583 days ago by Hamas terrorists, can now finally return to his loved ones — but it is unconscionable that Hamas continues to prolong the pain of the remaining hostages and their families. Every hostage must be released now.
Happy National Police Week! I’m committed to ensuring our brave law enforcement officers get the resources they need to keep us all safe. Thank you for your service to our communities.
Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing moms out there, especially my wife Leah! Thank you for everything you do.
Are you interested in being nominated for a service academy or know someone who is?
My office, along with teams from Rep. Frankel, Rep. Cherfilus-McCormick, and @wassermanschultz.house.gov, will host an Academy Day on May 17th to help FL students learn how to apply to these top-notch schools. 🇺🇸
Since 1980, the US has faced more than 400 disasters costing $1 billion+. Failing to track those will hurt our preparedness and cost both money and safety.
Hurricane season begins in less than a month. We need NOAA’s data to assess the trends and plan for future emergencies.
NEW: NOAA retires its widely cited billion-dollar weather and climate database amid staff cuts. Unique database had been tallying disaster costs for 45 years. www.cnn.com/2025/05/08/c...
Had a great meeting with the Ambassador of The Bahamas, Wendall Jones. The Bahamas are an ally of the United States and a close neighbor to South Florida, and I’m committed to strengthening the relationship between our nations from my post at @houseforeign.bsky.social.
Happy National #SmallBusinessWeek! Small businesses are the backbone of America’s economy, and I’m working every day in Congress to support an economy where ingenuity and entrepreneurship can thrive.
Good to meet with some Florida pharmacists with the National Association of Community Pharmacists for a productive discussion on standing up to pharmaceutical middlemen and protecting Florida seniors’ access to quality, affordable healthcare through Medicare.
