This is a critical role within our state government that requires both the qualifications and dedication necessary to grow our state's economy, attract new businesses to Delaware, and invest in our beloved state libraries. (2/3)
Joining me for the president’s Joint Address to Congress tomorrow will be Nelson Hill, president of the Delaware AFL-CIO. I'm grateful to have him stand with me in our ongoing fight against this administration's effort to rip off DE worker's rights in order to line the pockets of the ultra wealthy.
It was great to stop by Governor Matt Meyer’s 302 Day Community Resource Fair today. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our state and strengthen our communities than by connecting Delawareans with our state agencies and nonprofits to help them thrive.

Any time I enter or leave my office in Washington, DC, I pass under the same 302 sign. It's a constant reminder of what I came here to do – serve the people of Delaware. I'll continue working each day to deliver for you, the First (and best) State in the Union. Happy #302Day, Delaware!
A “302” sign hangs above a door.
REMINDER: In one hour, @repdexteror.bsky.social and I will be LIVE tonight on Instagram talking about the damage that House Republicans’ budget would cause to hardworking Delawareans and people across the country. See you there!
Join @repdexteror.bsky.social and me tonight at 7 pm on Instagram for the next episode of @housedemocrats.bsky.social’s WTF Show where we’ll talk about House Republicans’ heartless budget that would slash lifesaving programs like Medicaid.
Join Rep. Sarah McBride and Rep. Maxine Dexter M.D. for the #WTFShow (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). Watch live TONIGHT on instagram at 7:00 pm EST/4:00 pm PST

NEWS: I was just named Chair of the New Democrat Coalition’s Task Force on the Care Economy! From increasing access to health care to making childcare more affordable to passing paid family and medical leave in Congress, making life better for working families will always be a top priority of mine.

Agriculture is the backbone of Delaware's economy. But this administration has broken its promise, withholding nearly $10 million in funding owed to Delaware farmers. And with bird flu impacting poultry supply, our farmers need our support. Because when we fail our farmers, we fail all Americans.
I encourage Delawareans to keep reaching out to my office to share how this budget would be harmful to you and to our state. And I’ll continue to push back against Republican efforts to rip off Delawareans.
Proud to stand with House Democrats to denounce Republicans' budget, which would slash Medicaid coverage for the most vulnerable Delawareans - kids, seniors, people with disabilities, working parents, just to name a few.

We don’t often think about programs like Medicare and Medicaid - until we need them. That’s how a Delawarean described it who wrote to me about how they developed a tumor and experienced difficulty in securing reliable coverage to remove it. Medicaid quite literally “saved [their] life.”

Danielle from Dover shared how her son’s health changed overnight after going into the hospital for stomach pains. He is now on blood thinners at just 11 years old. Thanks to their Medicaid coverage, Danielle will get to watch her little boy grow up.

Kate from New Castle shared with me how her family needs Medicaid to manage their individual conditions including a collagen mutation and food intake disorder. As Kate put it, “having the continued coverage through Medicaid has meant that we can all keep take our literal lifesaving medication.”

A Lewes resident told me how their private employer doesn't offer insurance & they cannot afford insurance. Medicaid allows for their family to get the necessary medical & therapy appointments they need at a reasonable cost. “It is very simple, without Medicaid, neither of us would have insurance.”
