He pleaded for access to necessary medical care for his toothache, a basic human right, and was denied.
This rogue agency is killing our neighbors—behind the walls of detention centers & in broad daylight.
ICE cannot be reformed, it must be abolished.
Horrified by the death of our Massachusetts neighbor Emmanuel Damas in ICE custody. He was denied medical care for months.
I’m sending his family my deepest condolences. A family who has been robbed of their brother & son.
Emmanuel is at least the tenth person to die in ICE custody this year.
🚨MA-07: Our community project funding requests for FY2027 are live and due this Friday, March 6th.

The unemployment rate is rising & the public deserves to know.
On @dol.gov'sbirthday, I'm introducing the Better Labor Statistics Act to ensure transparent & detailed unemployment data is published every month.
We cannot allow Trump to hide economic data just because he doesn’t like what it says about his policies.
UPDATE: The House Oversight Committee successfully subpoenaed Pam Bondi to come testify.
She has failed to follow through with the Epstein Files Transparency Act & must answer for her failures.
Survivors deserve transparency, accountability, & healing.
From MA to MN & across the country, Trump’s anti-immigrant crusade is child abuse, neglect, & inflicting childhood trauma.
In Trump’s America, childhood is being treated as a privilege instead of a right.
We cannot allow kids to become collateral damage for cruel & morally bankrupt policies.
It was great to drop by More Than Words & hear from their young leaders on just how much this organization has changed their lives.
They're a community space, an economic engine, & an essential resource to empower & support our youth. And this Congresswoman is grateful for them!

From our team here in Washington, THANK YOU to every ALA member and advocate who showed up #ForOurLibraries in DC this week for #NLLD26!
As you might have been able to tell, we were thrilled to welcome you to the District and support your advocacy in Congress. We can't wait to see you next year!

Elizabeth Sweet of MIRA Coalition & @pressley.house.gov said Massachusetts has at least 91,400 immigrant entrepreneurs who generate $3.1 billion in business income.

This Women's History Month, I'm honoring:
—Women whose labor go unrecognized.
—Women unjustly detained or incarcerated, separated from their babies.
—Women mourning their loved ones due to endless wars & genocide.
The daughters, mamas, & grandmas who keep us whole. Their livelihoods matter.
Our immigrant entrepreneurs & small business owners are indispensable.
The impact they have on our communities & economies reverberates far beyond the walls of their businesses.
I will continue to defend their livelihoods against the blatant harm of this hostile White House.
My heart breaks for the United States service members killed. My heart breaks for the innocent Iranian schoolgirls killed.
Every child is a parent’s entire universe.

The Trump Administration's oil blockade on Cuba is cruel & irresponsible.
It's exacerbating an energy crisis, enforcing hospitals to go dark, & denying families food.
The Admin must reverse course immediately & end the blockade. Solidarity with the people Cuba.
Black veterans fought for freedom abroad while fighting for dignity & justice here.
And their service is not a footnote in our nation’s story.
Proud to present a congressional citation to honor The Concerned Black Men of Massachusetts for their work.
Donald Trump does not care about civilians in the region or the safety of US Troops.
He’s illegally bypassing Congress and starting a war with Iran that has already killed dozens of children. This is unacceptable.
Congress must take action to rein in Trump and save lives.
I’m proud to introduce the Greater Supervision in Banking Act to support the interests of investors & hold big banks accountable.
My GSIB Act would require big banks to disclose diversity metrics, compensation policies, & climate costs and be transparent with their investors.
Black history is American history—my resolution honors & celebrates museums keeping our shared history alive.
We refuse to yield to whitewashing of our Black ancestors' labor & joy.
Instead, we support & defend the institutions who do the essential truth-telling of our stories.
Our Black, Latino, & women-owned businesses are pillars of our communities.
But they are too often targeted for disinvestment with no meaningful opportunities to build wealth.
My SPARK Act with @markey.senate.gov will give them the resources needed to build wealth & grow.
Our children are being traumatized by this Administration, they’re stealing childhoods.
Whether you’re talking about hungry children being denied food assistance, medical negligence of cutting Medicaid, or the rogue actions of ICE.
That’s why I boycotted #SOTU.
