Great time celebrating Pulaski Day with the Polish Museum of America! Together, we honored the Father of the American Cavalry, Casimir Pulaski! Born in Warsaw, Pulaski served in the Polish military and immigrated to the US after being recruited into the war effort by Lafayette and Ben Franklin.
Earlier this week, I got to join the North Center Neighbors Association for their annual meeting. We talked about how my office secures Community Project Funding for the district—including the nearly $18 million this year. We also discussed how we can continue to improve Chicago's North Side.
These 100 year-old bridges need an upgrade. My bipartisan BRIDGE Act with @duckworth.senate.gov will establish a brand-new grant program to restore our commuter rail bridges—investing $1.5 billion EVERY YEAR in public transit.
Whether it's neglecting to fly our flags half-mast or refusing to take off his baseball cap, Trump will always show us he does not value the lives of those in uniform. May the fallen rest in peace.
As Trump continues this reckless war, Iran has closed access to the Strait of Hormuz—a vital passage in the global oil trade. Instead of ending his tantrum and cutting a deal, Trump has decided to lift sanctions on Russia. His war is only making our adversaries richer.
Rep. Fine should be censured and removed of his committee assignments.

We can not let this discrimination stand in the highest halls of power.
The rise in antisemitic violence across the world is horrifying and perpetrators must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Those who spread antisemitic messages must immediately be condemned for their bigotry.
I have heard the reports from Michigan about a violent attack on a synagogue. I am keeping all who attend the synagogue, West Bloomfield, Michiganders, and the entire American Jewish community in my thoughts.
Senator Hawley is trying to ban mifepristone, one of the two medications needed for medical abortion, under the guise of ‘safety.’

Senator, the FDA approved mifepristone in 2000. If you really cared about women’s health, you’d join us in protecting women’s reproductive care.
GOP Sen. Josh Hawley has introduced a new bill to ban the abortion pill mifepristone.
We need this war to end and for our troops to come home. I’m continuing to demand that my Republican colleagues join me in standing up to President Trump and standing up for Americans. #iran
It’s only been 12 days since Trump’s first strike on Iran, and he’s already spent $17.8 BILLION on this war alone. That’s $11,574 of taxpayer money every second. And counting. #iran #war #military
“This prolonged detention has and continues to destroy our lives. It is slowly killing us on the inside,” wrote a 16-year-old boy in #Dilley detention. Innocents are continuing to suffer under this administration.
Trump is willingly putting our troops in danger for a war Americans want no part of. Our service members are not disposable. I was proud to cosponsor and vote for the War Powers Resolution to stop this war. I’m going to keep supporting every effort to bring our troops home safely.
My office has officially started accepting submissions for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition! Every year, high schoolers submit entries to their representative's offices, with winning pieces displayed in the U.S. Capitol. If you're a high school student in my district, enter here🎨
Trump's war on Iran is costing Americans nearly a billion dollars a day—with no end in sight. New reporting shows that Hegseth's Pentagon blew through $5.6 billion of munitions in just the first two days. How much of your taxpayer dollars is Trump going to spend in pursuit of a war no one wants?
Educating our country’s children isn’t a video game—and slashing federal funds isn’t going to provide parents with the support they need from our schools. We need serious leaders who actually care about our children’s education.
