I had a great time at this year’s Retro on Roscoe, where I spent some time sharing my office’s constituent services! Whether it’s getting your passport renewed or making sure your Social Security check comes on time, my district team is here to help. Give our office a call at (773) 267-5926.
I recently attended Budlong Elementary’s Curriculum Night & Back-to-School Picnic! With the school year already up and running, it’s critical to hear from teachers, staff, and parents on the ground about their schools and their communities need. Thank you for educating the next generation! ✏️📚️🍎
Our public lands belong to all of us. On National Public Lands Day, we celebrate our parks, forests, trails, and public spaces and recommit ourselves to protecting them. As Co-Chair of @houseseec.bsky.social, I'm fighting to make sure we can share our public lands with the next generation.
There’s one month left to submit your app to the Congressional App Challenge! If you live or go to middle or high school in Illinois’ Fifth Congressional District, you and your friends can submit an app for a chance to win. Submit your app to www.congressionalappchallenge.us by Monday, October 26..
Eight American servicemembers have attempted suicide while aboard the USS Lincoln—the tortured ship that has been deployed for almost a year and suffered moldy showers and food shortages because of Trump’s Iran War.

Under Donald Trump, ICE has literally lost count of how many pregnant women in detention have suffered miscarriages. In October 2025, they stopped keeping track.
Pregnant women are being detailed at a record rate—but how many lose their pregnancies isn’t being tracked.
Earlier this week, I joined my fellow Co-Chairs and some members of the Ukraine Caucus in meeting with President Zelenskyy in New York. I was honored to accept the Ukrainian Order of Merit from him.
If you’re a U.S. citizen living in Chicago, the city and Cook County governments are partnering to help you get your birth certificate and register to vote—free of charge. Join them this Saturday at Manning Library to get the records you need to get registered. Sign up for the event below:
I just received 100% on Democracy Defenders Action’s Stop Corruption Scorecard! Take at a look at my work to hold the Trump administration accountable, defend the rule of law, and stop corruption from all people in power. @democracydefendersaction.org
Of course high gas prices are “a very inexpensive price to pay” for Trump. He doesn’t have to worry about budgeting for gas, groceries, and rent/mortgage.

Six months into his war with Iran, we’re still paying the price.

Trump's immigration enforcement is out of control — again. Last week, they shot a DoorDasher in Texas.    We've seen ICE & CBP lie about these shootings before, including in Chicago. I’m calling for an independent investigation into this shooting and for all perpetrators to be held accountable.
I was honored to join fellow Chicagoans in jumping in the Chicago River on Friday!   While this year’s River Swim was cancelled due to weather, the Chicago River Big Jump still raised money to support ALS research—a cause close to my heart.
Because of Trump's Big Ugly Bill, over 2,010 Americans in my district were kicked off SNAP. We need to reverse these cuts and make sure everyone has the food assistance they need. #SaveOurSnap
It’s Constitution Day! On September 17, we honor our country’s founding document. We must continue to fight for the rights and freedoms we hold dear🇺🇸

Trump knows the Republican Party is going to get their ass kicked in the midterms. That’s why he’s pushing these voter suppression measures like the SAVE Act.

We’re not going to let him take away your right to vote.
