America's founding fathers wisely created a system of checks and balances between equal branches of government. JD is trying to lay the groundwork for this administration to ignore the judiciary and decide which rulings they will and will not follow. America will not let this happen.
I’m cosponsoring the TRUST in Congress Act to ban members of Congress from owning and trading individual stocks. Americans shouldn't have to worry that their representatives are making decisions based on what's best for their portfolios. #RestoreTRUST
There's a lot of chaos and confusion coming out of Washington these days, & I'm determined to give #AZ04 residents as much insight as I can. Join me for a virtual town hall TOMORROW to talk about Trump's executive orders, Elon Musk's power grab, and what I'm doing in Congress to protect Arizonans.
Our community health centers provide essential services to nearly 400k people in #AZ04 alone—everything from family care to substance abuse & mental health care—and they count on federal funding to keep their doors open.
With federal grants under attack, I met with Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers (AACHC) providers to hear their concerns, and discuss how I'm working in Congress to make sure they have the resources they need to care for Arizonans.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau steps in when Americans have been ripped off by big banks or corporations. It has returned more than $20 billion to consumers since it was founded over a decade ago. Now the world’s richest man is bragging about ending it.
Great to visit the LDS Church’s Bishops’ Storehouse in Mesa to see their work to help those in need. No price tags in the store, those experiencing financial hardship work with their congregation’s leaders to build a shopping list & come in to get food on their table.
I’m excited to get to work on the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party to counter the CCP’s growing global influence, stand against military aggression, secure American supply chains and make sure that the U.S. continues to lead the world in commerce and innovation.
Arizonans are angry—and they’re right to be. Unsecured access to your sensitive data is a major violation of privacy and a threat to our national security. I’m pushing back with the Taxpayer Data Protection Act.
Thousands rallied at the Capitol today to protest Trump's attack on USAID. But we know he's not stopping there—he's going after the Department of Education next. He wants no checks & balances on his illegal actions. This is a dangerous move towards authoritarianism in the United States of America.
Sending American troops to occupy Gaza would be disastrous. The mere suggestion by Trump threatens to upend the carefully negotiated hostage deal—as Americans are still being held by Hamas—and moves us further from a path to lasting peace in the region. www.azcentral.com/story/news/w...
So Trump started a trade war with our allies, then immediately backed down for “concessions” that were already in the works. Arizonans want off this rollercoaster. That's why I'm backing a bill to block any President from imposing unchecked tariffs.
Our East Valley Institute of Technology is one of the best career and technical training schools in the country. With over 50 programs for Arizonans to get the skills they need to succeed, I’m proud to support them in Congress. It was a pleasure to stop by & chat with students!
