I’m excited to get to work on the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party to counter the CCP’s growing global influence, stand against military aggression, secure American supply chains and make sure that the U.S. continues to lead the world in commerce and innovation.
Arizonans are angry—and they’re right to be.
Unsecured access to your sensitive data is a major violation of privacy and a threat to our national security. I’m pushing back with the Taxpayer Data Protection Act.
2/ In response to this flood of outreach, we’re introducing the Taxpayer Data Protection Act.
It ensures only qualified public servants can access Americans’ personal information.

1/ Today I spoke to a few of the hundreds of Arizonans who’ve called my office outraged that Elon Musk & DOGE are rummaging around their sensitive personal data.
Thousands rallied at the Capitol today to protest Trump's attack on USAID. But we know he's not stopping there—he's going after the Department of Education next. He wants no checks & balances on his illegal actions.
This is a dangerous move towards authoritarianism in the United States of America.
Good. The presidency does not come with the authority to unilaterally rewrite our laws and the U.S. Constitution.
The 14th Amendment is clear: If you're born in America, you're an American.

Sending American troops to occupy Gaza would be disastrous.
The mere suggestion by Trump threatens to upend the carefully negotiated hostage deal—as Americans are still being held by Hamas—and moves us further from a path to lasting peace in the region.

My statement on Elon Musk’s unprecedented takeover of America's federal agencies—and how I’m pushing back.
So Trump started a trade war with our allies, then immediately backed down for “concessions” that were already in the works.
Arizonans want off this rollercoaster.
That's why I'm backing a bill to block any President from imposing unchecked tariffs.
Our East Valley Institute of Technology is one of the best career and technical training schools in the country. With over 50 programs for Arizonans to get the skills they need to succeed, I’m proud to support them in Congress. It was a pleasure to stop by & chat with students!
A president is not a king. Donald Trump cannot bypass Congress and cut programs Arizonans rely on at his whim.
Trump backpedaled on his tariff threat after tanking the stock market and sending Arizona consumers and business leaders into a panic.
The U.S. should partner with our allies on critical economic and security issues—not threaten self-defeating punitive tariffs.
Federal workers in Arizona have had their careers put in jeopardy by the Trump Administration’s sweep of executive orders.
I met with members of AFGE Local 2382 to hear their concerns. We can’t let important agencies like the VA suffer from short-sighted political plays.
America's absence on the world stage leaves a vacuum that China will eagerly fill.
This does not make us safer, stronger or more prosperous.
Here's the bottom line: eliminating USAID is bad foreign policy, it's plainly illegal and it will cost lives.
Now, one common misconception is that foreign aid makes up a large portion of U.S. federal spending. In fact, it's a fraction of our budget—a little more than half of 1%.
And this relatively small investment is critical for the U.S. maintain our global leadership.
USAID works to slow global migration by going after its root causes—teaching the farming and entrepreneurship skills that allow people to make a living in their own countries rather than making the dangerous journey to our borders.
USAID works to reduce conflict and combat terrorism.
Their global disaster relief efforts have helped the loved ones of my constituents—including after Libya's 2023 flood and during the current crisis in Sudan.
Since its founding 60+ years ago, USAID has provided life-saving assistance across the globe—including medical treatment to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, Ebola & polio.
Diseases don't recognize borders. An investment in global health is an investment in American health.
Shutting down USAID is not about efficiency—it’s about undermining America’s global leadership.
Trump and Musk are throwing away one of the best tools we have to spread American influence abroad, making the U.S. less safe & ceding ground to China.
