My American Affordability Act lowers the cost of education and workforce development by expanding education tax credits, reducing the tax burden on student loan interest and forgiveness, and making it easier for students to afford an education without breaking the bank.
It’s an honor to be one of only a few dozen individuals who have received this award, and like them I will always fight to protect our environment.
I received the Sierra Club's Edgar Wayburn Award on behalf of all those who worked with me to permanently protect 273,000 acres of wilderness in Northern California and to change the law to better prevent and fight forest fires.
I support impeaching Kristi Noem. I’ve coauthored articles of impeachment against her, and I’ve introduced legislation to force ICE agents to wear body cameras and prohibit them from wearing masks.
ICE has continued to terrorize communities in Minnesota and across our country, and that’s why I voted NO on funding ICE.
Three years ago, a shooter killed 7 people and wounded one other in Half Moon Bay. We remember those lost, hold their community close, and recommit to action. Everyone deserves to be safe in their community.
According to the Wall Street Journal, one in five veterans enrolled in Medicare Advantage didn’t use a single Medicare service in 2021. That means these companies are collecting taxpayer dollars without providing care to these veterans.
Like many veterans, I receive my health care through the VA. But too often, insurance companies prey on veterans to enroll them in Medicare Advantage plans, which aren’t billed when care is provided through the VA.
Proud to receive an “A” score from End Citizens United on their 2026 Anti-Corruption Scorecard. I’ll always fight for accountability and transparency, and I have always supported overturning Citizens United.
I’ll always deliver for our community, from 2016 to 2026 and beyond. #2016throwback
I will never stop fighting to restore those rights and ensure every woman has the access to care they need.
Today would have been the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, which affirmed a woman’s constitutional right to make decisions about her own body. That freedom was overturned in 2022, and women in dozens of states lost access to essential, life-saving health care.
It’s been sixteen years since the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision opened the floodgates to allow the wealthy to have an outsized influence in our political system. I have always supported overturning that decision.
We should be investing in programs that ensure women receive the full, evidence-based care they need, not funneling taxpayer dollars to unlicensed providers.
The pregnancy centers that Congressional Republicans want to fund are not licensed medical facilities and do not provide comprehensive medical care.
Communities all over our district came out to protest for a #FreeAmerica yesterday. We had hundreds of people come to our district offices to demand this president and his administration be held accountable. Thank you for staying involved and making your voices heard!
Read my statement on DOGE employees illegally accessing and sharing Social Security data:
On this anniversary, we remember the 11 lives taken from us and the community forever affected by the mass shooting in Monterey Park. The attack on Lunar New Year’s Eve targeted people gathered to celebrate their culture and serves as a painful reminder of the need for continued healing and action.
