Pollinators sustain our food supply, our environment, and our local economy. Yolo County’s long commitment to conservation grows even stronger with their project to restore monarch and insect habitats and protect endangered species. Proud to support the work they’re doing to protect our environment.
Congressional Republicans have had 15 years to come up with a healthcare plan that works. Instead, they’re pushing the same failed ideas they've already tried, and forcing Americans onto junk plans that don’t cover their pre-existing conditions or their medical bills.
Read my statement on Speaker's Johnson's announcement that he will not hold a vote to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits.
When someone is tragically murdered, you don’t use it as an opportunity to belittle them and their family.
Over the past two months, the economy has lost 41,000 jobs, and unemployment has climbed to its highest level in four years. Under the current administration, job losses have already occurred in three out of the last six months. The American people need relief.

Celebrated the holidays with my incredible District team. Whether you’ve seen them in the community or relied on their help with a federal agency, you know how committed they are to serving our district. Grateful for all they do.
Excited to help open Napa’s new Early Learning Center, made possible in part by nearly $1.8 million in federal Head Start funding. Early learning is one of the smartest investments we can make, and I’ll always fight to ensure every child has the chance to succeed.
Wishing everyone a joyful Hanukkah. May each night bring light and peace.
In their honor, we continue the fight to pass sensible legislation that will help end gun violence.
In the aftermath of the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut, I was named Chair of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force. Thirteen years later, we still mourn the 20 children and 6 educators who were taken from us.
The administration's cuts to the VA have already made care less accessible and more time consuming for our veterans. Cutting 35,000 more jobs, including doctor and nurse positions, is unacceptable. I'll fight to ensure our veterans receive the support and care they need.
Horrified by the mass shooting at Brown University. Praying for the victims and their families. I continue to monitor the situation as police work to apprehend the perpetrator and bring them to justice.

This is why we invest in habitat and waterway restoration. Seeing Coho salmon return to the upper Russian River for the first time in decades is a powerful reminder that conservation works.

Honored to recognize Phil Murphy for more than four decades of service to the Native Sons of the Golden West and the St. Helena community. His stewardship and dedication have helped preserve local history and strengthen our community for generations.
Proud to vote to protect federal workers’ collective bargaining rights that an executive order stripped away earlier this year. We need to work to protect our federal workers from unfair treatment and political interference.

The Respect for Marriage Act was signed into law 3 years ago, and I was proud to vote yes on the bill. Every LGBTQ+ American deserves the freedom to marry the person they love. I’m glad the Supreme Court reaffirmed that right by rejecting efforts to overturn marriage equality last month.
Chatted with Ronny Joe Grooms on KSVY about the work I’m doing to combat this administration’s illegal actions with the Democrats’ Litigation Task Force. Listen to hear more about how we’re fighting back.
Racism has no place in Petaluma or anywhere in our community. What happened to Coach Bullard is hateful, disgusting, and unacceptable. I’m grateful he continues to lead with strength and compassion, and I stand with him. The perpetrator should be found and held accountable.
Joined my fellow Democrats in signing a petition to force a vote to extend the ACA premium tax credits. Speaker Johnson won't let the House vote on extending these tax credits, and Democrats are here fighting for your health care.
