Very sad to hear that my colleague Doug LaMalfa passed away. I am sending my prayers and condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

Five years ago, a violent mob attacked the Capitol in an attempt to overthrow the results of a free and fair election. Over 140 police officers were injured, lives were lost, and our peaceful transfer of power was put at risk. No amount of whitewashing from the Trump Admin will erase the truth.
We're forcing a vote to save the ACA tax credits and reverse skyrocketing health care costs for millions of families.
Republicans have a choice: keep making life more and more unaffordable or join us in lowering health care costs.
No Congressional approval. No transparency and communication with the American people. This is clearly an act of war, and every member of Congress should be condemning this Administration's attempt to drag us into yet another conflict while sidestepping the Constitution and Congress.
Happy New Year! Wishing you and your family health and happiness in 2026.
I was blocked multiple times from entering ICE detention facilities in San Diego to follow up on reports that immigrants there were being mistreated. Good to see the courts acknowledging what should have been clear all along - Trump cannot block us from carrying out our constitutional duties.
From my family to yours, Merry Christmas! Wishing everyone celebrating a bright and joyful day with loved ones.
We have the votes we need to extend the ACA tax credits. But Speaker Mike Johnson is sending us home early without passing this bill.
If we don't extend these tax credits, millions of families will lose health care coverage or see their premiums skyrocket in 2026.
We need a vote NOW.
Health care for millions of families is on the line.
Bring this to the floor for a vote now, Speaker Johnson.
Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov and Ella Cook had their whole lives ahead of them. My heart breaks for their families and the entire Brown community as they grieve this unimaginable loss.
We cannot accept this as normal. We must do more to end our gun violence epidemic.
Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov’s family and friends described him as a studious and kind person who went out of his way to encourage others.
“Ella [Cook] was an amazing combination of sweet and strong,” said Father Justin Bolger, associate chaplain of the university.

There it is. Republicans are choosing to let health care premiums double and triple for millions of families in 2026. They are choosing to let millions lose coverage entirely.
I'm absolutely horrified by this vile attack at a Hanukkah celebration in Australia. Antisemitism, hate, and bigotry have no place in our world. My prayers are with the victims, their families, and all those impacted.
This evening marks the start of Hanukkah. For everyone celebrating here in CA-52 and around the world, may these next eight nights bring peace, light, and blessings.
Every House Democrat has signed on to legislation to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits.
We need 4 Republicans to join us.
Un ataque contra nuestras comunidades, el debido proceso y las libertades civiles: esa es la agenda migratoria de Trump.
Depende de todos nosotros denunciarla.
An attack on our communities, due process, and civil liberties - that's Trump's immigration agenda.
It's on all of us to speak out.
I am a proud son of immigrants. I know immigrants make our country stronger. I'm on the Floor with @usprogressives.bsky.social and @hispaniccaucus.bsky.social to speak out against Trump's continued efforts to target and terrorize immigrant communities.

BREAKING: All House Democrats have signed our discharge petition to extend the ACA tax credits.
That makes 214.
We can protect health care and lower costs — if only 4 Republicans will join us.
Trump's economic policies are failing us. Plain and simple.
