I introduced this bipartisan bill that recognizes the sacrifice of Gold Star spouses by expanding their healthcare benefits. We owe so much to those who answered the call to service and perished in defense of our nation and must ensure we take care of their surviving spouses.
We are currently accepting applications for the Spring 2025 internship cohort in our DC Office. Looking for hardworking, bright individuals that want to gain invaluable experience working in public service—apply by October 31st! You can find more info at: kaptur.house.gov/services/internships
Attention Ohioans! Medicare Open Enrollment for 2025 begins TODAY and runs until December 7th. Now's the time to review your options and find the best plan for your needs! Visit Medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE for assistance.
Northern Lights over the new Kaptur-Rogowski House in Sandusky, Erie County
Breathtaking view 420 feet up at the new $1 Billion Cleveland-Cliffs clean hydrogen-ready steel facility. As a longstanding Member of the House Steel Caucus, I know we must rebuild strength at home—not cede markets to Chinese steel. What America makes and grows, makes and grows America!
Wishing a Happy 249th Birthday to our US Navy! Proud of the countless NW Ohioans who proudly served in our Navy as forces for Liberty. Today I reflect on the 6 Oddo Brothers of Bellevue, Ohio who we honored last summer by unveiling a plaque in their honor at the National Museum of the US Navy.
Happy #NationalFarmersDay to all of the farmers, growers, and producers helping to put food on tables across NW Ohio, and throughout our nation. What America makes and grows, makes and grows America.
Wishing all who are observing #YomKippur in NW Ohio, across our state, throughout our nation, and around the globe a meaningful and easy fast. #GMarChatimaTovah

I encourage each of my colleagues to support the Gold Star Spouses Healthcare Enhancement Act as one small way we can honor the debt they and their spouses are owed by our grateful nation.
They selflessly accept this risk to secure Liberty across the globe. We owe so much to those who answered the call to service and perished in defense of our nation and must ensure we take care of their surviving spouses.
Today, I am joined by Rep. Don Bacon of Nebraska to introduce a bipartisan bill that recognizes the sacrifice of Gold Star spouses by expanding their healthcare benefits. Military service requires our young men and women to risk their lives fighting and defeating America’s enemies.
Cub Scout Pack 3027’s energy and enthusiasm was off the charts. Thanks to all who take part in important scouting traditions. Scouting builds character and community. Always glad to help.
Wetlands are essential to the health of our Great Lakes. This collaborative restoration project with US Army Corps of Engineers and Port Clinton has established a best-in-class effort to provide benefits to our local community and to our freshwater life source, Lake Erie and all of NW Ohio.
Tonight I led 63 of my colleagues in a letter to Speaker Mike Johnson urging him to call House back into session to vote on vitally needed disaster relief funding. Thank you to Rep. Kathy Manning, Rep. Jared Moskowitz, Rep. Dina Titus and Rep. Melanie Stansbury for joining me in leading this effort.
Affordable, accessible child care is vital for families in NW Ohio and across the country. We must continue to invest in a system that supports working parents, educators, and our economy. Proud to stand with House Democrats to make this a reality during #ChildCareWeekofAction.
Great to join Salvation Army Major JR Fritsch for the Grand reopening of the choice food pantry, as it was renamed Sally’s Market. So much good is done by the Salvation Army across our region.
Transit Operators get our people where they need to go, and are a lifeline for many in our community. Grateful to join TARTA CEO Laura Koprowski, and ATU Local 697 President Carly Allen to celebrate the new fleet of TARTA drivers at the advent of their careers.
Wishing everyone celebrating in NW Ohio and across the country a Happy #NationalPierogiDay!
Joined Chief Begin, Oregon officials, officers, and members of City Council to announce a $963,000 investment in the Oregon Police Division. Proud to have brought home this major funding award from the Department of Justice to help the brave men and women who serve us each and every day.
