Immigrants aren’t just our neighbors and friends — they’re the backbone of our economy. Yet, Trump is using ICE to target our immigrant coworkers, street vendors, laborers, and business owners. We will not be silent. Trump and ICE have no place in our city or state!
Last Friday, I was thrilled to join my South LA community at The Rehearsal—our city’s answer to Tiny Desk. The powerful performances by rising artists were a beautiful reminder that music is a seed of hope breaking through the challenges we face together. 🎶🫂
This is what Trump and Republicans don’t want—people uniting to speak out about their government. But they won’t stop us. It’s been powerful hearing directly from my constituents about their concerns and how my office can better serve them. That’s how change begins. ✊🗣️
I’m heartbroken by the loss of three brave LA County Sheriff’s deputies in a tragic incident outside of my district. My deepest condolences to their families, colleagues, and all who are mourning this loss. May LA surround them in love at this devastating time. www.latimes.com/california/s...
Republicans’ defense spending bill cuts servicemembers’ salaries & restricts women’s healthcare.   Plus, they rejected my amendments to: ❌Defund the deployment of the National Guard to LA ❌Zero out the salaries of anyone who sends classified info over Signal   I voted HELL NO.
What do Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump have in common? The American people deserve to know. Release the Epstein Files.
BREAKING The WSJ has reviewed a book put together for Jeffrey Epstein’s 50th birthday, as part of that book a letter was submitted by Donald Trump. Trump’s letter features a drawing of a naked woman and this text which imagines a conversation between Trump and Epstein. Full Story: bit.ly/45bmsxO
This tragedy comes after increasingly violent settler attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank, where five Americans have now been killed since October 2023. And it is especially painful following the deaths of Palestinians seeking humanitarian aid in Gaza over the weekend. (🧵2/4)
The Trump Administration is abandoning our Afghan allies. On Friday, Sec. Rubio eliminated the office in charge of relocating Afghans who helped the U.S. military. These people saved American lives. Who would help our military when they see us abandoning the Afghans who helped us?
ICE is out of control. Incident after incident, I'm both heartbroken and enraged. This time, they caused a tamale vendor to have a heart attack and even arrested a U.S. citizen who was a bystander.  There's a reason a court found their tactics illegal. Get ICE out of LA.
Border Patrol arrested her selling tamales. Then she suffered a heart attack. 'I told them: I can't breathe'
