Hunger is a policy choice and NM farmers markets have chosen to help our rural producers and those who need that extra help to put food on the table.
Meanwhile, Republicans ripped $187 BILLION out of SNAP.

This is what it looks like to support our farmers and our families:
You can now TRIPLE your SNAP dollars when you purchase at your local farmers markets until 8/31.
Happy birthday to the mother road! 🚙ROUTE 66🚗
Today, the House finally passed the DHS funding bill without a single cent for ICE. But none of this pain was necessary.
Democrats stood firm against funding ICE’s terror campaign.
Republicans could have ended this long ago when the Senate passed this exact bill.
Instead, FEMA, Coast Guard, TSA workers were all left wondering if their paychecks would come.
Republicans love to stand with the biggest corporations instead of you.
This time, they’re trying to shield pesticide companies from people who they may have poisoned.
We won’t stand for it.
A contract with the federal government used to be gold.
Now family farms are struggling due to federal policy passed by Republicans and backed by the president.
Who could’ve foreseen this plan blowing up in their face?
I guess taking food from the hungry, spying on Americans, and protecting pesticide companies who poison us is unpopular — even among Republicans.
Trump and Republicans’ cuts are destroying the rural economy.
Now, they want to pass a Farm Bill that cuts the programs that help our farmers and ranchers survive the crises they created.
I’ve met with food banks across New Mexico countless times.
They’re struggling. Shelves are emptying out.
And now Republicans want to lock in cuts that kick 4 MILLION more people off SNAP with their Farm Bill this week.
This is what hunger looks like in America.
While families are writing notes like this at food banks across the country, Republicans are pushing a Farm Bill that locks in the largest SNAP cut in history.
$187 BILLION ripped away from people just trying to eat—that’s Republicans priority next week.

Happy Earth Day!
Trump and Republicans spent the last year selling off your public lands, your clean air, and your clean water to billionaires and Big Oil.
And every one of those decisions ended with higher costs for you.
We're fighting back because you deserve better.
Republicans are hurting rural America and trying to give themselves a pat on the back for it.
Their resolution does nothing to fix the problems their “Big Beautiful Bill” created for rural hospitals.
We will continue to hold powerful men accountable.
It’s tax day. Your tax dollars should work for you, not for billionaires.
It’s tax day… but where are your tax dollars going?
Farmers and ranchers in my district can reach out to their local Farm Service Agency office for more information or can call my office at (505) 428-4680 for help with a federal agency.
🚨 The USDA has declared 28 counties in New Mexico as disaster areas due to recent drought.
If you are a farmer or rancher in any of these counties, you may qualify for emergency loan assistance from the Farm Service Agency.
Republicans don’t know their own bill.
The “Big Beautiful Bill” would kick 95,000 Pennsylvanians off of their ACA coverage, and boot 300,000 Pennsylvanians from Medicaid, but their representative didn’t know anything about that.
Reps. Gonzales and Swalwell are not fit to serve. They must resign. If they do not, I will vote to expel them.
