A new Tennessee law will force families with critically ill or severely disabled children to make a heartbreaking choice between lifesaving medical care & potential deportation.
Targeting vulnerable, sick children is a horrific low. We cannot let this cruelty be normalized.

Our fight continues for a future where we put families first and lower costs for everyone.
The House just took a historic step forward to tackle the housing crisis.
I was proud to vote for the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act because fair and affordable housing is a human right. There is more work to do but this was an important step.
My colleague and friend Rep. McIver came to Congress to fight for the people she represents, and that's exactly what she has continued to do.
Proud to stand with Rep. McIver —today and every day. With you then, with you now.
Great to join friends and neighbors at the farewell celebration for Dr. Chris Reber!
Thank you, Dr. Reber, for eight years of leadership at HCCC and your unwavering dedication to our community. Hudson County will miss you! Wishing you the best in your next chapter!👏
I’m so grateful I had the chance to see him just two weeks ago. My deepest condolences go to his family and all who were touched by his incredible life. His legacy will continue to inspire us all.
Deeply saddened by the passing of former Congressman Frank Guarini - a true Hudson County legend and a dedicated public servant.
From his service in the Navy to his time in Congress and the UN, Frank’s life was defined by integrity and a lifelong commitment to the people.
Happy Father's Day! 💙
Spent the day at Liberty State Park! So thankful for these two munchkins who have brought so much joy to my life.
We cannot expect our children to focus and learn in school when they live in constant fear of coming home to an empty house.
I will always stand up for our neighbors and fight Trump's cruel policies that choose mass detention over the safety of our children.
📍Paid Leave for All in Jersey City
💪 What a night with Dawn Huckelbridge and so many local leaders to watch the screening of Lifelines. I will always be a partner in Congress in fighting for families including supporting paid family and medical leave. The work continues.
Today, on #Juneteenth, we celebrate freedom for all and pay homage to the struggle for emancipation.
Every day, we must reflect on the resilience of those who paved the way and recommit to making equality and justice a reality for everyone.
Ahead of Juneteenth—a day that honors the end of slavery in the United States and the enduring fight for freedom—we came together as a community.
Every day we must reflect on the strength and resilience of those who paved the way and reaffirm our shared commitment to justice and equality.
Our government says "Do Not Travel" to the DRC.
Yet our same government deported our constituent, Adriana, there - a place they have deemed too dangerous for people to enter.
DHS must stop these mass deportations immediately.
📍Essex County Pride in Newark
📢 Honored to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community and three great honorees! I’ll always fight for a future where everyone can live openly and with the dignity they deserve. 💪🏳️🌈
We are working to confirm reporting that ICE is abandoning its Roxbury warehouse plans but if true, this would be big news.
From day one - we fought to stop this facility, bringing together thousands of New Jerseyans in opposition. Now we are on the cusp of an important win for our state.
SCOOP: ICE is planning to offload seven warehouses purchased for more than $700 million by either giving them to other federal agencies or selling them outright, according to documents obtained by The New York Times.

📍Portugal Day Parade in @cityofNewarkNJ 🇵🇹
🇵🇹 Such a beautiful day celebrating the culture and contributions of our Portuguese community. It was also an honor to be with Newark firefighter Augie Acabou's familiy as he was honored three years after he lost his life in the line of duty. 🙏
"We believe it is time to confront whether Delaney Hall, as it exists today, can ever fulfill its original rehabilitative purpose."
The Delaney family is demanding it be closed & the name retired if it continues to contradict the very values their aunt spent her life fighting for. We agree.
Thank you to Committee on Homeland Security Democrats for coming to Newark to host an important conversation exposing what's happening inside Delaney Hall.
Our fight for the soul of our nation continues.
Republicans care more about giving Trump taxpayer money for a ballroom than they do about lowering your healthcare costs, making housing affordable, or improving the lives of the people they have the privilege to represent.
Families are struggling to locate loved ones, attorneys are having difficulty maintaining communication with clients, & advocates we're in touch with are receiving reports of sudden & disruptive transfers.
I’m here with Homeland Dems in Newark for a hearing about what’s happening at Delaney now:

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
