Donald Trump cannot fire Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.
So he's using the DOJ to attack him and push him out of the Fed.
Trump's abuse of power is a dangerous threat to our economy, to Fed independence, and our democracy.
My friend Alice Wong was a civil rights & disability justice activist, community organizer, & author.
She was unapologetic in her pursuit of building a more just world & shining a light on issues society hesitated to address.
She is deeply missed, but her legacy carries on.
In @oversightdemocrats.bsky.social this week, I moved to subpoena all records & footage related to Renee’s murder.
Every Republican voted it down.
Now, the FBI has blocked Minnesota officials from conducting an independent investigation.
Republicans have never cared about accountability.
Congress must abolish ICE and hold this lawless Administration accountable.
Abortion care is essential healthcare.
This is a step in the right direction, but we won't stop using every tool at our disposal to fight these bans no matter where they are.
Congratulations to #MA7's very own Super Bowl Champions, the Randolph High School Blue Devils!
These student-athletes have made their school & families proud.
And proven to themselves & Massachusetts that Randolph has the talent & commitment to succeed on & off the field. Go Blue Devils!
Families at home are struggling to pay for healthcare, housing, & groceries thanks to Donald Trump.
But instead of addressing affordability, he's spending billions of dollars on an endless war in Venezuela.
The House must take up the Senate-passed bill to stop this war.
Five Republicans join Democrats to force Senate check on Trump's war powers in Venezuela, delivering a notable rebuke of the president. https://cnn.it/4aQiFcO
That starts with a thorough & independent investigation into this tragedy so her loved ones & the public get the accountability, transparency, & healing they deserve.
We will never get true justice for Renee, because true justice would be her still alive with her children & family. But there must be accountability.
ICE is a rogue, violent agency that moves with reckless disregard for human life & due process. It has no business in our communities & it must be abolished.
The agents that murdered Renee & blocked her from receiving medical care on site must be held fully accountable.
Renee was a mother, daughter, poet, & compassionate community member.
She should be alive today. But instead, she was murdered in broad daylight by masked ICE agents in Minnesota.
We CANNOT stand by while Black unemployment remains significantly higher than the overall rate of 4.4%.
The @federalreserve.gov must address this crisis NOW & brief @cbc.house.gov on its plans.
This is about Black families & Black futures — and the health of our economy overall.
Republicans don't give a damn about fraud.
🚨After we forced a vote, the House passed our bill to restore the ACA subsidies Republicans let expire.
This is an important step toward saving healthcare for millions of families—and a testament to what's possible when we organize & fight back.
The Senate must follow suit.
My full statement on the ICE murder of Renee Nicole Good.
My heart is with the victim, her loved ones, & the Minnesota community.
BREAKING: ICE killed a Minnesota woman in broad daylight & there must be accountability.
But when I moved to subpoena all records & footage related to this murder, Republicans voted it down.
They've never cared about law & order or keeping our communities safe.
Republicans claim to care about fraud.
But they support Trump pardoning his friends, corporations, & insurrectionists that were convicted of defrauding the public.
Accountability means nothing to these hypocrites.
While Trump & Republicans threaten more endless wars, Democrats are focused on lowering healthcare costs here at home.
We've forced a vote this week to extend the ACA subsidies and prevent healthcare premiums from skyrocketing.
Republicans must join us NOW before it's too late.

A huge step in the right direction in Wyoming today, affirming Wyomingites' right to abortion!
While this is great news, we must continue to fight to ensure that everybody in Wyoming has access to care & never has to worry about their freedom being stripped in the future.
