This #EarthDay, we must all commit to fighting Trump's unconscionable attacks to gut our country’s most fundamental environmental & public health protections. This is our planet, our power, and we will organize & fight for a safe, livable home for us all.
Pope Francis was a compassionate man who centered the dignity & humanity of all people. He practiced his faith in word and deed until the very end. I thank God for the blessing of his life, and I mourn his loss alongside all people of faith and conscience.

During this district work week, I visited our elders at Massachusetts Senior Action Council & Fuller Village to update them on our work in Congress. With Trump & Musk coming after Social Security & other essential programs, I'll never stop fighting for our seniors & their right to age with dignity.

An internal State Dept memo reportedly contradicts the Trump Administration's rationale for Rümeysa's abduction. I'm teaming up with @warren.senate.gov & @markey.senate.gov to demand Secretary Rubio release the memo & any other documents related to her arrest. www.bostonglobe.com/2025/04/18/m...
Every child deserves to thrive—not carry the weight of their trauma for a lifetime. I reintroduced the STRONG Support for Children Act to break cycles of trauma, invest in healing, and ensure our kids get the care and support they deserve.

A quote from Rep. Ayanna Pressley on the reintroduction of her STRONG Support for Children Act that reads:

“Every child deserves to thrive. The STRONG Support for Children Act would provide critical resources and approach childhood trauma through a reparative, healing-centered, and trauma-informed lens. Children too often carry the weight of trauma throughout their entire lives because these wounds don’t just heal on their own. With this legislation, we will invest in breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma and ensure children are supported.”
Absolutely not. Head Start is essential for babies and families here in the #MA7 & across the country. This White House should immediately reverse course & reinstate the dedicated federal workers that support Head Start.
The White House's budget proposes eliminating Head Start, an early childhood education program that provides services to low-income families.
The educators at the Epiphany School show up every day for our young people and are building a model of education rooted in equity, joy, and opportunity. This district work period, I dropped by to meet with their team and learn more about how we can support their essential work.

It's 2025 & we still have a Black maternal morbidity crisis. This Black Maternal Health Week, let's recommit to the Work—not just raising awareness, but saving lives. Proud to join @underwood.house.gov, @booker.senate.gov, & @tcfdotorg.bsky.social to share our vision for ending this crisis.
The Trump administration’s attacks on our universities are lawless. Education and scientific research are essential, and denying funding for them will cost us lives & undermine our democracy. This is the right call from Harvard. And together, we must all fight back. www.harvard.edu/president/ne...
The 9-0 Supreme Court ruling was clear: Trump must bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia home. Instead, he’s blatantly defying the court order and keeping an innocent man locked in a mega-prison. If they don't comply, SCOTUS must hold Administration officials in contempt.
The Trump administration is pretending to comply with the Supreme Court’s order to “facilitate” the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia from El Salvador’s infamous Centro de Confinamiento del Terrorismo—while refusing to actually do so, @adamserwer.bsky.social writes. https://theatln.tc/k6OLmbC3
As we mark 12 years since the Boston Marathon attack, I'm thinking of families robbed of a loved one, communities still in recovery, & our larger Greater Boston community. Our work towards healing continues, but today I'm reminded we're #OneBostonStrong.

Trump's attack on birthright citizenship is blatantly unconstitutional. Republicans want to undo the 14th Amendment and undo all of the progress made since the Reconstruction Era. I’ve joined an amicus brief to fight back.

I rose on the House floor in opposition to occupant Trump’s hostile attacks on Black history. Black brilliance exists in every corner of this nation. And I want every single person to walk into our Smithsonian museums & see our accurate history on full display.
