This is a glimmer of hope amid the chaos. Liam and his dad have finally been released.
But the fact that a literal child was thrown behind bars in the first place is despicable.
We need to keep speaking out to put an end to this lawless, rogue ICE operation.

My message to Trump has always been clear.
Unmask ICE. Stop terrorizing our communities. And remove Secretary Noem.
Yet another shooting involving federal agents, this time in Arizona. We are seeing a terrifying pattern of escalating violence & no regard for human life.
We need a full, independent investigation into every single incident involving DHS agents, & the removal of Kristi Noem NOW.
Secretary Noem has blood on her hands. She needs to resign now or be removed from office.
Our country is at a breaking point because of the illegal and fascist actions of this administration. And the American people have had enough. Read my full statement:
I am devastated to learn of another person being killed by federal immigration agents in Minnesota. We aren't safer when unidentified agents can terrorize & even kill people without ramifications.
I promise to do everything in my power to hold this admin accountable, but it will take all of us.
Now they are literally detaining kids & using them as bait. They said they would target violent criminals, but we know that is far from reality.
My heart breaks for this 5-year-old who should be with his family. There aren't even words to describe the cruelty of Trump's lawless ICE operations.
Trump & Kristi Noem are asking Congress to hand them a blank check to continue to unleash ICE to terrorize our communities – and I'm a hell no.
What's happening right now is unlawful, un-American, inhumane, and dangerous. I will vote against the funding that is bringing chaos across the country.
Trump didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize he wanted, so now, he's throwing a tantrum. Unfortunately for us and the rest of the world, it puts our safety, security, and alliances at risk.
When will Republicans join us in holding him accountable before it's too late?
The Insurrection Act was never meant to be a tool for presidential intimidation and unchecked power. This move by Trump is straight out of the authoritarian playbook.
Our military exists to defend us, not to turn on its own citizens and target immigrant communities.
My heart breaks for the Jewish community who have been targeted yet again. The surge in antisemitic attacks demands total condemnation from everyone.
My thoughts are with the congregation and everyone affected by the arson attack in Mississippi and around the world. This must stop.
We've seen a rise in political violence & Trump continues to fan the flames. He accused Governor Walz of assassinating MN lawmaker Melissa Hortman & her husband.
Not only is this outrageous & false, but accusations like this are dangerous. Trump is unwell & unhinged.

Trump's reckless tariffs are driving up costs for Colorado families. That's why affordable housing and child care are my top priorities heading into 2026 so every Coloradan has a fair shot to get ahead.
I'll keep standing up & fighting back for working families in Colorado.

Trump doesn't care about US laws, court orders, or international laws. We have a madman as president. Congress must come together to hold him accountable and rein in his abuse of power.
Today, we unfortunately did not gain enough Republican support to override Trump's veto of a bipartisan bill to deliver clean water to 50,000 residents in rural Colorado.
Trump's veto is the continuation of his retribution campaign against Colorado, and families in our state will pay the price.
Pulling the US out of almost every UN & international organization is reckless & dangerous. These institutions & alliances have been built to bring lasting peace and stability.
It's hard to sleep at night thinking about the future our kids will be left with & knowing we have a madman as President.
My heart breaks for the family and loved ones of the woman killed in Minnesota today. Trump has been sending ICE into our communities, terrorizing immigrants and ripping families apart. There has been zero evidence to justify this killing. Kristi Noem has blood on her hands.
I don't know how many times we have to repeat it: vaccines are safe & effective. They save lives. Colorado is facing a record flu season & low vaccination rates of only 27.5%.
RFK Jr is going to cost us lives, make no mistake.

We're hearing deeply concerning reports Trump may illegally withhold child care funding from Colorado families.
This would be the latest act of political retaliation against our state. I'm outraged that families already struggling with high costs could suddenly lose the child care they rely on.
Today marks five years since the violent attack on the US Capitol — one of the darkest days in our nation's history.
Our democracy was tested and persevered. It will continue to take all of us fighting to preserve the rule of law, our constitution, and the promise of our country.
