I just voted to cancel Trump’s reckless tariffs on Canada. This is a major victory for the American people and for Congress reclaiming our constitutional authority over tariffs. And, it's a defeat for Trump and Speaker Johnson, who for months blocked the House from taking this vote.
In just a few moments, I will vote against the so-called SAVE America Act and I am a strong no. That's because this bill would place unnecessary burdens on millions of women and eligible citizens to register to vote and make their voices heard. It is un-American & undermines our democracy.
In 2024, about 1.5 million jobs were created. In 2025, it plummeted to just 181,000. The numbers don't lie. Trump’s policies and tariffs are not working: they are raising prices for working-class families and weakening our job market.
"Will Congressional Republicans continue to rubber-stamp Trump's disastrous economic agenda, or will they finally stand up for the American people?" Ranking Member @congressmanboyle.bsky.social on the January 2026 jobs report:
Their journey serves as a reminder of the importance of peace, kindness, and compassion for everyone across the country and the world.
Today, I welcomed Buddhist Monks from the Hương Đạo Vipassana Bhavana Center as they completed their 2,300-mile Walk for Peace, from Fort Worth, TX to the Peace Monument at the U.S. Capitol in D.C.
Trump tried to throw Members of Congress in jail for reminding servicemembers they don't have to follow illegal orders. He is weaponizing the DOJ to silence dissent & not one Republican has stepped up to stop him. Thankfully, a grand jury rejected it. We will not be intimidated.
Yesterday, Senator Adam Schiff, Congressman Brian Mast and I introduced the bipartisan PETSAFE Act to allow state and local governments to use FEMA grants to protect animals during disasters.
I’m so inspired by these young people right here in Claremont and across the country who are coming together to stand up against Trump's authoritarianism. Together, we will continue to stand up for our rights, dignity, and safety. claremont-courier.com/schools/the-...
I’m proud to represent @caltech.edu, where researchers are connecting ideas from physics and economics to better understand complex systems. Excited to see this latest breakthrough and grateful for the innovation happening in our district every day. pasadenanow.com/main/economi...
I am very excited to cheer on the United States during this year’s Winter Olympic Games! A special shoutout to two-time Olympian Maddie Mastro, from Wrightwood right here in #CA28! You make us proud.    GO TEAM USA! 🏅🎉
It is sickening that the President of the United States posted this racist, vile video. Every Republican must stand up and condemn this hate. @houserepublicans.bsky.social, speak up.
Last night, Trump posted a video to his social media platform that contained a racist clip showing Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys. It's still up:
A racist screenshot of Michelle and Barack Obama
Trump continues to weaponize national security to advance cruel & racist immigration policies. Congress must pass my bill, the NO BAN Act, to prevent these bans from ever being implemented again.
Because of Trump's ban, over 60% of the countries in Africa and 20% of all countries worldwide are now fully or partially banned from the U.S. Families will be needlessly separated & our economy will suffer.
Today, I led a letter with @beyer.house.gov and @repilhan.bsky.social - signed by 58 House Democrats - demanding answers & accountability on Trump's expanded, racist travel ban.
