I am saddened by the deaths of two more American service members in Jordan during an Iranian attack, with another still missing. We must never forget those who have died in conflict, and honor their memory. President Trump’s war must be brought to an end.
Nelson Mandela understood that freedom is never handed over by those in power. It is won through courage, organizing, and persistence. On #MandelaDay, we honor his life by continuing the fight.
Six years ago, we lost the Conscience of the Congress, Congressman John Lewis. From leading the march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge to serving in the House, he never stopped fighting for justice, equality, & the right to vote. In his memory, we continue to make good trouble.

"I'm the daughter of an immigrant family who could only dream of their daughter becoming a Representative. And it's only because of education." For a lifetime of standing with educators and working people, the @aft.org is proud to give @delauro.house.gov a Lifetime Achievement Award.
While war continues in Iran and prices soar at every level, President Trump is readying to steal your democracy. Don't let him.
President Trump is set to address the nation on Thursday night on topics he said will include elections and voting machines, suggesting he is likely to revisit some of the unproven claims he has previously made about Republican losses, particularly his own in 2020. https://to.pbs.org/44BZK0X
Air Quality Alert: Smoke from Canadian Wildfires is expected to impact air quality in Connecticut today. CT residents are advised to limit their time outdoors. Those who must be outside should take necessary precautions.
We cannot allow this. I'm demanding answers & will seek a full accounting of every child still needlessly detained. The administration must reunite these children with their families without delay.
President Trump & Stephen Miller were the architects behind the zero tolerance family separation policy during the first Trump administration. They are intent on continuing this inhumane policy, just in a new form. www.ctinsider.com/news/article...
The result is now dozens of traumatized children in Connecticut, possibly hundreds, with thousands more spread nationwide across this failed system. (3/3)
It was not because she didn't have a parent, it wasn't because she broke some law—she is five. It was deliberate cruelty, as the Trump administration prioritizes detention & deportation quotas over basic decency & due process. This is child abuse. (2/3)
President Trump promised his immigration enforcement agenda would target violent criminals. Instead, a five-year-old child, and dozens more like her, was detained and given only one hour a week to visit with her mother. This lasted 118 days. (1/3) www.ctinsider.com/news/article...
Millions of dollars in federal funding will bolster CT’s quantum initiative. CT is quickly becoming a nationwide leader in the field & I’m proud to have advocated for this funding which will spur economic development, create good paying jobs & boost cutting-edge research in CT.
Governor Ned Lamont has activated Connecticut's Extreme Hot Weather Protocol through Thursday as dangerous heat is expected across the state. Please take precautions during this heat and if you are in need of a place to cool down call 211 or go to 211ct.org.

DeLAURO: Has SBA conducted a study of if small businesses are struggling to access tariff refunds compared to larger firms? LOEFFLER: No ma'am DeLAURO: Will you commit to doing one? LOEFFLER: I will commit to continuing to advance the interests of small businesses DeLAURO: Oh, god
In the past week, two more people have been shot and killed by ICE officers, with no body camera footage. Grieving families and a concerned public deserve answers. ICE must not get another dime until reforms. This unaccountable violence must end.
