While President Trump and congressional Republicans are trying to tear down this progress, House Democrats are fighting back to ensure all Americans have access to quality, affordable health care. (2/2)

16 years ago, the Affordable Care Act revolutionized health care. This landmark legislation lowered costs, expanded health care access, and protected the millions of Americans with pre-existing conditions. (1/2)
Instead of extending the critical ACA tax credits that nearly 500,000 Pennsylvanians relied on to afford their health care coverage, President Trump built a smoke and mirrors website that offers new savings on... ONE prescription drug.
Since enhanced ACA premium tax credits expired, premiums have more than doubled on average for roughly 22 million people.
Trump's "TrumpRx" solution? A curated directory of manufacturer coupons, nearly all of which were already available through preexisting channels. https://ampr.gs/4uq9abs
I signed House Democrats’ discharge petition to force a vote on funding the law-abiding DHS agencies, like TSA, and pay workers NOW.
As TSA agents are working without pay, this is a common-sense step while negotiations on reforming ICE and CBP continue. Will any House Republicans join us?
Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating in Philadelphia and around the world!
May this Eid al-Fitr bring you and your loved ones joy, peace, and happiness!
In Philly and beyond, working families are struggling to afford the rising costs of gas, groceries, and health care.
Yet the Trump-Vance administration wants to spend $200,000,000,000 MORE on their illegal, reckless war of choice. Their priorities could not be clearer.
This GOP voter suppression bill does nothing to “save” America.
It would make it harder for American citizens, including married women, service members, and voters of color, to reach the ballot box.
I voted against it in the House and urge the Senate to do the same.
Trump and congressional Republicans let the ACA tax credits expire, and now the effects are rippling through our health care system:
❌At least a million Americans being forced to go without insurance.
❌Hospitals at risk of closure.
❌Costs spiking across the board.
I’ll be signing House Democrats' discharge petition to force a vote on funding most of DHS to pay workers NOW at the law-abiding agencies while negotiations continue. (2/2)
Congressional Republicans would rather keep the DHS shut down, forcing workers at TSA, Coast Guard and FEMA to go without pay - than rein in lawless practices at ICE and CBP. (1/2)
It's Day 18 of Trump's war of choice, and it's already cost taxpayers over $22 BILLION.
That could fund:
🩺A year of Medicaid coverage for 2,750,000 Americans
🍽️A year of SNAP aid to help 3,055,555 families put food on the table
🏘️Building 88,000 affordable housing units
The Trump-Vance administration is spending upwards of $1,000,000,000 A DAY on an ill-conceived, optional war, and they still don’t have a coherent answer to the question: “What’s next?”
Hey #Philly, let’s talk taxes! Have questions this filing season? Want to learn more about filing your federal, state, & city taxes?
Don’t leave money on the table this tax filing season — stop by my tax filing forum on March 28 from 10 AM to 2 PM to learn more and maximize your refund!
As Trump's cuts to SNAP begin to take effect and food prices continue to rise, Philadelphians are struggling to put food on the table.
“It’s ridiculous," my constituent Carolyn, a Philly grandmother raising three of her grandchildren and being impacted by these cuts, told me.
At least 175 civilians, mostly little girls, were killed by a military strike on a school in Iran.
As preliminary investigations show the U.S. is responsible, I join @sarajacobs.house.gov and my Democratic colleagues in demanding accountability and transparency from the Trump-Vance administration.
Hey #Philly, are you looking for a job? USPS is hiring!
Electricians, maintenance workers, and building mechanics are urged to attend their job fair this Saturday, March 14, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the USPS district office on S. 70th St.!

1 in 3 Americans are being forced to make trade-offs just to afford their health care!
This is the reality of the congressional GOP’s cuts to health care funding. The reality of them letting the critical ACA tax credits expire. Of the Republican-created health care crisis.
