ICE did not notify Congress directly until nearly a week after the death and hours after my office inquired with relevant Congressional committees earlier today.

🚨 Earlier today, my office was notified by a local stakeholder about the death of a detainee at Camp East Montana.

Trump implements tariffs -> Tariffs raise prices and devastate farmers -> Trump uses tariff revenue (aka American tax dollars) to bail out farmers -> Trump takes credit for “saving” farmers
Equipped with exam rooms, essential equipment, clinical services, and screenings on board, the mobile clinic will bring high-quality care to families in underserved areas of our community.
The clinic is an excellent example of how our federal government can improve lives.
El Paso Children’s Hospital is near and dear to my heart.
I was proud to see the nearly $600k in federal funding I secured in 2023 finally come to fruition as the new El Paso Children’s Pediatric Mobile Clinic was officially unveiled.

While Democrats fight to extend health insurance tax credits for hard-working Americans, Donald Trump’s pollster is instructing Republicans to change the subject.
These are the same people who want us to believe the affordability crisis is a “hoax.”

Millionaire tax-flight is a myth.
In states like WA and MA, these new revenues have been invested in educational programs that support early learning, childcare, free school lunches, community college, and even public transportation.

So not only do millionaires stay in their communities, but increased tax rates are successful on making their own their communities wealthier by raising revenue.

But studies have consistently found that the top 1 percent of income earners typically move out of the New York less than any other income group.
This top slice of income moved out of the state at an average rate of 0.2 percent on net.
We've seen this flimsy justification used for years as a rallying cry against raising taxes on the wealthy.
Most notably, we saw it in the NYC mayoral race last month.
prospect.org/2025/10/23/m...
And it makes sense.
Why would you leave a community that you've invested your life, families, network, and businesses in?
Of the top income earners who do leave a state, only a sliver -- just over 2 percent -- have left because they want to cut their taxes.
That's 0.05% of millionaires leaving because of high taxes!

A study published in the American Journal of Sociology states that of the roughly 500k households per year that report at least $1 million in income on their tax returns, only 2.4 percent, or 12,000 millionaires, migrate to another state.

An increasingly used justification for why taxes shouldn't be increased on the ultra-wealthy is because they'll "leave communities and take their revenue with them."
Yet research shows they move at lower rates than other income brackets, even in response to tax increases.

Don't worry America, Mike Johnson says to "relax" if you have concerns about affordability!
Pete Hegseth put the lives of our service members at risk, and every day he's kept his job since then condones his reckless behavior.
This administration's refusal to take responsibility will continue to endanger the safety of troops.
Hegseth should resign or be fired.
Following reports and investigations into toxic ambient air emissions at Cardinal Health warehouses in El Paso, I sent a letter to their CEO requesting that he respond to my concerns about the impact to our community.

By supporting the Restoring Food Security for American Families and Farmers Act of 2025, we hope to reverse these cuts and end this shameful Republican abandonment of those who need help the most.
This administration has been hell-bent on slashing if not outright eliminating programs like SNAP and allowing millions of Americans to go hungry. The shutdown was only a preview of the devastation every single Republican voted to inflict.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
