Speaker Johnson and House Republicans are turning a blind eye to the chaos caused by Trump.
Where are they? They should work with Democrats to protect our constituents and rein in this President and stop his economic catastrophe in the making.

President Trump is crashing the economy on purpose. His reckless tariffs are driving up prices, killing jobs, and wiping out retirement savings. Hard-working American families are paying the price.
Americans did NOT vote for a recession.
Dr. Oz has no business overseeing Medicare or Medicaid. He’s exactly the kind of yes-man Republicans want to chip away at these programs.
Texans see through it and so do I. I’ll be watching and fighting every step of the way.
Today, we honor the legacy of César Chávez and Dolores Huerta— champions for workers’ rights, dignity, and justice
Their fight for fair wages and humane working conditions paved the way for generations. Let’s keep their spirit alive by standing with workers and organizing for equity. ¡Sí se puede!
While Trump & the GOP try to erase trans people, I'm proud to stand with my colleagues in the @equality.house.gov as we celebrate #TransDayOfVisibility.
Trans people deserves the freedom to live openly, make their own medical decisions, & be protected under the law.
We cannot let due process, free speech, and civil liberties be dismantled under this Administration’s Ill-advised policies. Everyone must speak out!
President Trump’s gestapo inspired immigration crackdown continues to cross the line in so many ways. Detaining people for their speech or political views is completely un-American and unconstitutional.
If you care about kids growing up strong, families making it through tough times, and farmers feeding America—then we must protect and strengthen SNAP.
Trump and Republicans are slashing phone services at Social Security, forcing seniors online and leaving them stranded without help. This isn’t modernization, it’s neglect. Cruelty by design.
Stunning incompetence with dangerous consequences. 👊🏻🇺🇸🔥
When we warned that Pete Hegseth was utterly unfit to serve as Defense Secretary, this is exactly what we meant. Trump is treating the Pentagon like a Fox News casting call. He put our national security in the hands of a TV talking head and it shows.
I'm committed to protecting seniors' Social Security, Medicare, and essential community programs like Meals on Wheels. Our seniors have spent their lives building this country—we must ensure they have the care and support they deserve.
Trump must abandon this inhumane and unfair targeting of Venezuelan immigrants.
The Trump administration should not be cruelly ripping away legal protections, including TPS, from Venezuelans who came to the U.S. fleeing violence and repression under the brutal Maduro regime. I join my Democratic colleagues in standing shoulder to shoulder with the Venezuelan community.
There are people alive today, raising their kids, holding their grandbabies, because of the Affordable Care Act. Because President Obama and Democrats fought to make it law and protect it. We can’t forget that. Healthcare is a human right.
All lawyers swear an oath to uphold the rule of law and Constitution. They should be willing to stand in the breach to protect our democracy. It’s deeply disturbing if a major law firm capitulated to the Trump administration’s all out assault on our democracy and legal system.
Let’s be clear: the Department of Education exists because states wouldn’t fund poor schools, wouldn’t protect kids with disabilities, wouldn’t follow civil rights law, especially in the South. Anyone calling to abolish it is calling to turn back the clock—and we can’t let that happen.
This isn’t a budget. It’s a betrayal. I’m voting NO and fighting to stop it.
House Republicans are pushing a cruel and reckless budget. It slashes veterans’ health care, risks evictions for thousands of families, and makes it harder for seniors to access Social Security while giving Trump and Elon Musk more power to wreck federal agencies.
