Republicans are threatening petition signers, cancelling votes for Sept 29/30, & now even talking about delaying the swearing-in of Grijalva, our 218th signatory. Americans are too dialed in on this issue for dirty political tricks. Grijalva must be sworn in our first day back.
News: Massie says GOP leaders in “full panic” over Epstein files, predicts it will pass but said senior Republicans “threatened” his three GOP co-signers politically “They came back and tried to get the four of us to take our names off of the petition” www.semafor.com/article/09/2...
Congratulations @adelitaforcongress.bsky.social. When Congress returns, she will be the 218th signature on Rep. Thomas Massie and my discharge petition. We’re one step closer to releasing the full Epstein files and justice for the survivors.
Breaking: Republicans canceled votes on the 29th and 30th, delaying the final signature on Rep. Thomas Massie’s and our discharge petition. These political games erode public trust. We need transparency and justice for survivors. Release the full Epstein files.
Canada, Australia, and the UK have officially recognized a Palestinian state. We cannot be isolated from the rest of the free world. I’m circulating a letter in Congress calling on Trump and Rubio to do the same. Everyone should see where their member of Congress stands.
Patel says can't release Epstein files because of courts. But Judge Berman said that grand jury materials "pale in comparison" to the files Justice/FBI have from 2006 & 2018 investigation. Don't fall for the headfake. Stand with Rep. Thomas Massie & me -- full release of Epstein files!
I just motioned to subpoena FCC Director Brendan Carr. Enough of Congress sleepwalking while Trump & Vance shred the First Amendment & Constitution. It is time for Congress to stand up for Article I.
Ro Khanna: "They're making comedy illegal. Brendan Carr pressured ABC to cancel Jimmy Kimmel, and Disney cancels Jimmy Kimmel. This canceling from an administration that lectured us about cancel culture. That's why today I'm introducing a motion to subpoena Brendan Carr."
Techies who raged daily about Gensler & Biden "weaponizing" the administrative state to crush them: Got a word on FCC boss Carr strong-arming Nexstar to yank Kimmel’s show?
You jumped on me & came to Big Balls' defense, pleading not to destroy a kid's life for stupid social media posts. But you now are asking people to call kids' employers to fire them for what they post. Perhaps you owe me an apology JD Vance.
The grace he shows given the insults to his wife is remarkable. His project of showing a multiracial America can work is still a worthy one.
Obama: So we have to extend to people during their period of mourning We can also at the same time say I disagree with the idea that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was a mistake I can disagree with the suggestion that my wife or Justice Jackson does not have adequate brain processing power.
The irony is it's the First Amendment, which Vance & Bondi are trampling, that gives Trump the right to spout absurdities targeting journalists. Nobody gains more from free speech than Trump.
JON KARL: What do you make of Pam Bondi saying she's gonna go after hate speech? A lot of your allies say hate speech is free speech TRUMP: We'll probably go after people like you because you treat me so unfairly. You have a lot of hate in your hate. Maybe they'll have to go after you.
JD Vance, Stephen Miller, and Pam Bondi are threatening to use the awesome power of our government to crack down on our speech. Here are their words. All Americans must stand up for our First Amendment rights and our freedom.
So now JD Vance, your Administration is prosecuting hate speech even though you ran on standing for the First Amendment & lectured Europe about not censoring hate speech?
Attorney General Pam Bondi: "There's free speech and then there's hate speech, and there is no place, especially now, especially after what happened to Charlie, in our society...We will absolutely target you, go after you, if you are targeting anyone with hate speech."
JD Vance, as you climb your "mountain of truth," stop spreading falsehoods about the left being more willing to condone political violence. A fearful & hurting nation begs of you to see beyond partisan tribe. Let's stop blaming each other & start lifting America up.
JD Vance & Stephen Miller, your call to bring the weight of the federal government down on left-wing networks is chilling for those of us who care about free speech & echoes the Palmer raids & Red Scare of 1919 for students of American history. A dark day.
Thank you @jamaalbowmanny.bsky.social for calling for the release of the Epstein files. He’s right we need to drain the swamp and hold those accountable.
