Great to spend time with @IBT251 at this morning’s membership meeting. For too long Washington has turned its back on the middle class and those working to join it.
That has to change now.
Workers on strike shouldn’t lose their health care.
That is why I support the Striking and Locked Out Workers Healthcare Protection Act - to stop corporations from forcing families to choose between their health and their rights on the job.
When people lose health coverage, hospitals and nursing homes are forced to raise prices for everyone else.
I am ready to back a budget that prevents a health care crisis. Republicans need to come to the table to fix this health care mess and avert a government shutdown now.

RIers are about to see their health insurance costs go up by an average of $1,780 because ACA tax credits are expiring.
Republicans control all branches of government and can fix the problem in next year's budget.
But I cannot vote for a bill that fails to address this crisis.

Great conversation at the New England Council breakfast this morning. I spoke about lowering costs by reversing Trump tariffs, supporting affordable clean energy, and focusing on economic policy where you don't have to know a guy at Mar-a-Lago to be able to compete.

In order to avoid the hyperinflation and corruption that has plagued countries that politicized their central banks, the Fed must remain independent.
Trump’s health care cuts and chaotic tariffs are creating a crisis, and he won’t even meet with Democratic leaders to negotiate a fix.
